4-2 last week and if it wasn't for a blown 20 point lead, would have been 5-1. Really like 2 games today.

YTD 7-7 -0.7 units

Detroit @ New York
Dragons blew a 20 point lead last week and HC Gregory decisions in OT left me speechless, but he got his players refocused in practice this week and I expect a statement win against Detroit. Fury have very little offense to speak of, especially on the road, averaging just 32 points. Dragons simply have too much firepower for Detroit to keep up.

Pick: New York -6

Orlando @ Indiana

Orlando shook things up this week, brought in some new defensive players and activated WR Siaha Burley, but that won't be enough to stop Indiana. Firebirds improvement on defense has been tremendous and should capitalize on Jay Gruden's many mistakes. Preds have surrendered 67 and 69 points in 2 road games so far...Indiana should get close to that.

Pick: Indiana -5

Buffalo @ Grand Rapids
Key game for both teams as they look to improve to 4-2. There is some bad blood between these two stemming from a preseason game and comments made after it. Also several players have played for both teams and are looking for revenge. Destroyer HC Ray Bentley is a Grand Rapids native. Rampage offense has kicked into high gear, averaging 63.6 ppg the last 3 games while giving up 57. Destroyers have played the real defense oriented East Coast game and will have to play wide open to keep up w/ GR. They have the weapons to do it. With the subplots of this game, I think both teams throw caution to the wind and touchdowns will be plentiful.

Pick: Buf/GR Over 110

Carolina @ Tampa Bay

This is beginning to look like a long season for the Storm as they waived their best offensive weapon OS Carlos Johnson this week and are now in a 1-4 hole. Carolina made a QB change this week, going with new signee John Fitzgerald who displaces the inconsisent Connell Mayor. Fitzgerald was on the Storm practice squad earlier in the year. Carolina beat TB a few weeks ago by 10 and it could be more this week.

Pick: Carolina +5

Dallas @ San Jose

The only way to stop this Sabercat offense is to put twice as many players on defense, but since that is illegal, Dallas is in major trouble. When you play SJ, you have to be able to answer scores because SJ strikes quick with 1 or 2 play drives, they wear defense down, which is why they blow teams out in the 2nd half. Dallas was manhandled by Arizona last week, losing by 23. I expect them to score more than 30 because of the Sabercat style of defense, but they will surrender more than 53. Mark Grieb has not thrown an INT yet this year which is remarkable.

Pick: San Jose -9.5
