Love the grocery List.:mj06:

Thanks, OS & Clem.
I never thought I'd become a teaser guy but I have not been an NFL player for several years and wanted to find a way to make my sundays both entertaining and profitable. I am quite aware that I am not good enough to have the confidence to bet this league straight up so I decided to key 1-3 teams and just use good numbers with them. So far its working out well. I'm convinced that a system like this can work as long as I maintain the discipline to use it correctly.

We'll find out come January.

Rod Stewart is my neighbor!
Spang Ive always believed that teasers when played right are highly profitable. i never use more than three teams in a teaser and i always look at the key numbers that im able to cross when teasing the line whether it be the favorite or the dog. IMO discipline plays a huge factor when teasing dont sell yourself short spang You seem to know your shit when it comes to capping Keep up the good work:toast:

Question, why don't you just play the keys in a 3 team teaser and forget the rest. You must feel that those are the strongest plays. Just a question, not being a wise ass just trying to learn.

I get where you are coming from and its a pretty simple answer. This is the NFL where strange things can and do happen. Anytime you increase an exotic bet by one team you obviously increase the degree of difficulty and the probability of hitting them is much lower than it may seem.

I generally won't budge of the two teamer. If one of my keys goes down I can still salvage something out of the day. If I play a huge 3 teamer and one goes down, I am finished.

A lot of people maintain that a teaser is a sucker bet, and I was one of them for years. I actually still agree with that to some extent. If you just go out there and fire 6-7 pt teasers all over the place you will get crushed. If great discipline is used by just keying around one , two or three teams a week I think it can be successful. On a 7 pt tease at -130 I have to bat about 60% to carve out a nice little profit. I'm pretty confident that I can achieve that % with an extra 7 pts on the board.

Simple as that.

Thanks Highend

Adding two 2H plays on the jets. The score remains reasonably close so the Jets should keep the peddle down on a crippled Buff. offense.

Jets -4 (-115) 3 units
Under 17 1 unit

Thanks Nino

Obviously there is a ton of risk involved when you drop 2/3. even lost a bit on the very lame Jets at the half

3-14 -20.5

Overall record goes to 39-31 -0.8

Will go at it one more week and if I can't manage to pull it back up, I will stop playing this method of keying teasers. Just wanted to try this out, I'll abort when the record sinks to less than 50%

"the bunker"
the jet game broke the camel`s back for me this week(year).....you have a team that`s playing like total shit(buffalo),on the road......vs a team coming off a difficult loss....a team by all measure,is the much better club...playing better.......a team playing hard every week...

a reasonably hot, innovative coach vs a stale, moribund conservative coach probably on his way out....

the visitor loses it`s qb early on..... :thumb: excellent...

the jets starting running back runs for over 200 yards....200....we all know the general stats regarding teams that win the rushing comparison..

yet,the young qb throws 5......FIVE ints.....we also all know the comparative stats on teams that turn the ball over more than their opponent...

still, even after this morass of ineptitude, you`re still on the doorstep of winning(a teaser) inside the 20,when the ref decides to throw a dubious holding flag from 20 yards away....the ensuing 50 yard field goal attempt is mishandled by the holder....

i (admittedly)haven`t capped football very well this year(and that`s an understatement)...i certainly can`t cap this many variables....but,i have had several key games turn on questionable ref`s calls on the deciding possession at the end of several games...

i`m goin to play an occasional game....just for fun...otherwise,i`m sticking to what i do better....

g.l. going forward...a beast of a loss,it was...condolences...
