posted record 79-64, +37.52 units

S. Carolina +8 -110, 5 units
Should be a good spot to go against Arkansas coming off yet another 7 OT game. Their RBs were already banged up before and having a short week with this game on Thursday won't help. Razorbacks haven't been playing too well of late while S. Carolina has been getting better as the season has gone along. Wouldn't be all that surprised to see the Gamecocks win outright so taking the points.

i agree w/pt1gard. this line will settle back down under a touchdown. arkansas probably gonna be a little flat coming off that marathon game, but i just dont trust usc enough to back em. prime spot for holtz to catch razorbacks off their game, but i cant figure out that usc team

Miami Ohio -7 -108, 3 units
I may be outthinking myself on this one. I thought this line would be around 3-4 so was ready to jump on Bowling Green when I saw it. I'm guessing the linesmakers know something I don't considering Bowling Green won at Purdue and lost by just 7 at Ohio State. The Redhawks' offense has been impressive scoring at least 38 in each game since losing to Iowa in their first game. I'm thinking this will be a high scoring game so think if Miami wins there is a pretty good chance it will be by more than 7. They beat a decent Colorado St. team 41-21 so they are more than capable of blowing out a good team. Public dogs haven't been doing so well as in the cases of Kansas and Oklahoma St. the last couple of weeks so gonna stick with my plan.

Louisville +2.5 -110, 6 units
Still think TCU is overrated as they haven't faced a decent team yet. They've done a nice job winning the close games against bad teams but think the Cards are the best and most balanced team they have faced by far. TCU hasn't faced a good offense except Houston's and gave up 55 in that game. Really like Louisville's balanced offense with the big RB Shelton and they have a good group of WRs to go along with their TE Ghent. LeFors has done a nice job taking just 3 sacks and throwing only 5 INTs on the year. He's also pretty mobile with 6 ypr which should help against the TCU defense. Louisville has just one loss which was in OT so they're not far from an undefeated themselves. I actually think Louisville wins this game pretty easily so will take the points.

Think Miami's defense is a little better than people realize. Looking for them to play well at home and hold Bowling Green's offense in check.

...love the L'ville pick. ;)

...good luck this week. :D

(FWIW...take a look at two thrusdays from now, when TCU has to travel to the dirt bowl in So. Miss. If the line is right, this will be a prime spot to play against TCU....)

More of a line play than anything. NMS has been putting up a lot of yards lately so think they can put some points on the board. Don't think an 0-5 road team should be favored.

Friday Night

Friday Night

Colorado St. -1.5 -110, 3 units
Going to be a square today and go with the road favorite. New Mexico has had some problems going against some of the bigger schools. 4 of their 5 wins came about SW Texas St., Utah St., New Mexico St., and San Diego St., which are all poor teams. While the Utah win was good, that was kind of a sandwich game for the Utes coming off a win at UNLV with Air Force on deck. Like CSU's balance on offense and think they can score some points against the Lobos who have given up 35 points in each of the last 2 games. Van Pelt can run or pass and has some good targets at WR. They should also have the advantage in the return game where Wynn is very dangerous, avg. over 15 yards per punt return. CSU has won the L5 meetings and coming off a loss I like them to bounce back with a win as I don't think NM can contain their offense.

Think NM will have some difficulty scoring so think this may be a little too high.

Lobos seem to be dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Don't like CSU's chances if Van Pelt is forced to pass.
