Why Florida? Well, I guess because everyone in my office is all over Miami. All over them. Yes they are defending champs until beaten, however, I think Grossman has the poise to get the job done. This game by far will be the best of the weekend and may be the premier matchup this year.
I just think this is a low number for Southern Miss to cover in this situation. Main reason I see is their defense, returns 9 starters had six sacks last week. Top defense vs struggling new QB (Illinois' Ward just 124 yds last week v Missouri) is a good matchup in my mind.

I just don't know how Zook will respond as head coach in his first big game???
As for Smiss this game looked too easy for me when the lines came out but with a touchdown could possibly play Illinois. Let me reiterate I thought Smiss was an easy pick because of the home field and their D but how is the new QB going to be?? I see a low scoring game so +7 with the Illini is tempting, maybe a no play for me on this one.

I think Zook is going to shock a lot of people who dont know him and misperceive him as some babe in the woods. Last week he ran it up Spurrier-style for almost 700!!! yards in offense. He has told his players he likes to open it up and run it up.

The people in my office are going silly crazy over Miami I'm not kidding, only four or five stiffs but they cant talk enough about how Miami is going to crush them.
