Am on holiday again this week - still have 5 weeks owing! How much I play is likely to be restricted by the time and info I can get so don't expect much but I'll try and at least preview the NZ v Aus league test and the Lions v Wallabies 3rd test if I don't do the regular season NRL.

NRL:

Weekend: 3-1 (75%)

Reasonable weekend; a point away from going 4-0. I had to bit my lip on game two when we had one side scoring 44 points and we still couldn't get an Over on 44.5.
Lady Fortune swung our way the next night in reward as the Warriors bombed a couple of tries to ensure the Under came home v a disappointing Eels side.
Today's hedge play was spot on as the Eagles ran all over the Roosters in a 40-18 victory which gave us both the side and the total.
By the end of the regular season, we should have made approximately 100 plays (playoff lines should be more accurate and the number of plays per weekend are likely to be less). At the start of the season, the aim was to reach the 56% mark and we are tracking steadily to that.

AFL:

A win on the Kangaroos, who seem to be coming on strong with coach Pagan's philosophies at the right time, and a second-half collapse from the Tigers that had been hinted at by those with more knowledge in this sport than me.
Didn't like much from the weekend card and was probaly vindicated by some upset results only to play two games. Interesting to note though that the heavy chalks had no trouble covering.

International rugby:

Thrity minutes into the second test between the Lions and the Wallabies and I felt our 2-unit series play was near cooked. But the courageous tackling of Stephen Larkham seemed to inspire his colleagues and Joe Roff's opportunist strike started a series swing which now notably favours the hosts, especially after Macqueen's early retirement announcement.

Season to Date:

AFL: 24-20 (54.55%)

NRL: 40-31 (56.34%)

SUPER 12*: 27-13 (67.50%)

INTERNATIONAL RUGBY: 2-3 (40.00%)
(2 units pending on Aus to beat Lions in series)

Overall: 93-67 (58.13%)

Over and out
