Champion Plays:

Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz preview and pick
The high-flying Dallas Mavericks go for their fourth straight win tonight when they visit the Delta Center to take on the Utah Jazz.

The 28-18 Jazz had won three straight prior to a 99-87 loss to the resurgent LA Lakers. They are 17-6 SU and 14-7-2 ATS at home this season. In fact of their last 11 at the Delta Center only once have the Jazz lost by 5 points or more. It's also worth noting their ATS records of 13-7 on a days rest and 8-2 against divisional opponents. Forward Matt Harpring is listed as doubtful tonight after bruising his ribs against Golden State Friday. They will also be without coach Sloan who continues to serve his seven-game suspension for shoving a referee.

The Mavericks own the NBA's best record at 36-9, although their ATS record is a mediocre 24-22 overall and 11-11 on the road. Last time out they thrashed the Nuggets 122-100 at home. Dallas have covered five of their last seven overall and tomorrow night host Sacramento in a marquee match-up.

The Jazz beat the Mavericks 93-81 on their home court earlier this season as 9 point dogs and after that game a Dallas beat writer noted that "This is exactly the sort of team that the Mavericks have trouble beating. One with solid big men and enough perimeter play to keep the Mavericks' zone defense honest."

Tonight we expect a very close game decided by just a few points and we'll take the home dog Jazz to keep it close enough to get the cover.

Recommended Play: Utah Jazz +5.5 at SIA

Los Angeles/New York
Can't make no excuses for this week. baskets arent falling or YAO ain't doin his job

going into today, im at 2-5 this week and 11-9-1 overall.

Phil Jackson bringing his old ass to New York where the Lakers usually struggle. they are 1-3 in N.Y. the last 4 years. Its gonna be tough to see Lakers covering this one. Now of course they are hot, everybody knows that, and they are at 5 hundred going into today. But New York has played recently well too, winning 7out of their last 10. Now the wins may have been mediocre, but a win is a win and they have covered 8 out of those 10 games

NY ATS at home 17-10
LA ATS on road 10-13

NY ATS year 28-18-1
LA ATS year 21-25

What sticks out here really is the Lakers on the road. they are only 8-15, and yea shaq wasnt with them for those few games, but still its a team game. NY is impressive at home, and you can't forget they are only a couple spots out of the 8th and 7th spot in the playoffs. I am even looking for a good win here by the new york knicks if possible, to boost them going into the second half. call me crazy but i like da knicks and hopefully walton isnt broadcasting the game.

NEW YORK +5.5 2 units
MIlwaukee -5.5 1 unit
Milwaukee over 190 1.5 units

and of course the teaser of the day been 1-1 on teasers this week

NY +12.5
Milwaukee +2.5
Denver +15

2 unit play
