Already mentioned Kirsty Taylor in other thread at 250/1 - have now added a couple of other links players
Moodie - 50/1 VC or Surrey
Steinhauer - 100/1 VC or Surrey - won this in 98/99 and 98 partic interesting - was very bad weather which is forecast

Steinhauer was on my shortlist for last week (before she found out and withdrew). Will have to try some 100/1 on a dual British Open winner, plenty of it about Paddy Power, Bet365, BlueSq, etc. Not having a good year but had a top 10 last time out in anticipation of bigger things....

I watched some of the euro women play in Oslo last week. Laura Davies hit some wonderful approach shots on Sunday and she impressed me the most. She almost threw it away with some poor tee shots on the back nine but hit some good recovery shots.

Kirsty Taylor played with Davies in the final group. Taylor couldn't match Laura's length off the tee but was very straight. Her short game wasn't too impressive though.

Karine Icher made some silly mistakes on the last few holes which blew her chances. Her putting didn't look sharp.

I'll stick with some of Clive's picks this week. Moodie and Diaz look good to me.

Agree Diaz looks good but 7/1 is to short for place wager @ SIA :(

Bush: Outrights to place only IA 1 Unit Each

Moodie 10/1
Carriedo 16.5/1
Kuehne 16.5/1
Mallon 16.5/1

Outright plays (1 unit):

Se Ri Pak to win 12/1 e.w. @ Bet365 or Blue Square
The defending champion, but Sherri Steinhauer defended this title in 1999 and Pak is certainly capable of doing the same. Of her main opponents, Webb has not played particularly well in this event since winning it in 1997 and nor is she in the best of form, while hot favorite Sorenstam has never won this event despite finishing in the top-3 four times, though each time it was on a parkland and not a links course. She's won one of the majors so far this year and is in excellent form. She should go very close.

Laura Diaz to win 40/1 e.w. @ Victor Chandler
Very strange price. Diaz has finished 14th, 6th and 3rd in the last three years and is worthy of a much lower price. A two-time winner on the LPGA Tour this year and finished 4th on her last trip to Europe in the Evian Masters, Diaz is a potential winner this week.

Rosie Jones to win 50/1 e.w. @ Victor Chandler or Blue Square
Jones is much less likely to win this event, but is one of the most consistent top-20 players on the LPGA Tour. She has finished in the top-20 in 11 of 15 events this year and has a similarly impressive record in this event. In five starts, she has finished 7th, 2nd, 14th, 17th and 12th. Unlike the other two selections, she played in last week's LPGA Tour event (she finished 6th), but looks a decent prospect for a place finish.

Have to think that Diaz is the most likely U.S. winner - plenty of Euro experience including a Q-School win, played links at Brikdale and Lytham, also played at Gleneagles many times. Topped up on the 40 at VC.

Janice Moodie has all the credentials to win here and won't mind the weather too much 50/1

Would really love to see a 'proper' Euro player win this..one who doesn't mainly play on LPGA...there are so many excellent young players over here at the moment it would really give a huge boost to the Solheim team...Marti, Carriedo, Monnet must all have a chance, but forced to choose one it would be Karine Icher (66/1)..in the form of her life at the moment.

Agonised a long time over Sophie Gustafson...she has been awful all season, but was 5th in Norway last week. She is the best links golfer around imo, but one good tournament surely doesn't mean she's on her way back, as we've already discovered with Westwood this season...can't make her a proper bet, but must be worth a saver?

Final update: 0-3; -3.00 units

Pak 11th
Diaz mc
Jones mc

Diaz had a good first round, but faced the worst of the weather on Friday, while Pak was always just off the pace. Not too much encouragement from a poor event.
