My Mom was the Champion candlepin bowler at Lakeside Lanes in Manchester, NH for many years....she actually used to have a hook on her throw like big ball bowling nowadays when nobody else did. She could pound Miller Lites and drink the boys under the table (some legendary stories), but her 4 pack of Benson and Hedges habit and cancer took her at 55. I wish they had a candlepin bowling club/lanes here in Vegas.

I lived in New Hampshire for 42 years.....Great place to visit, between June and August....maybe September if you're a leaf peeper.
In Baltimore we had duckpin bowling.
