They finally got these bowl games right! There are about 10 really good matchup here and usually they screw this up to kingdom come. I like the way they put the 2 chit teams together in Cinn/Va Tech in the BCS and the rest of those games are really good. Here are some other real nice ones:

Boise/TCU
Tulsa/Ball St
Northwestern/Missou
Pitt/Oregon St
Oregon/Okla st
Texas Tech/Miss

Nice job College football! Far fewer lousy matchups.

All except the Sugar Bowl, Utah has no chance

Boise State got screwed, they should be in the BCS

Hedge, Utah shouldn't embarrass themselves. They played a couple decent teams (Oreg st, TCU, and BYU). Bama is tough as nails though so it will be a tall order for the Utes. I love that Boise/TCU game as TCU was every bit as good as Utah. By the way, if you look back, who played Oklahoma any tougher at home than TCU?

Agree with rest of the world that any system is flawed if the championship can't be settled on the field.
There are some good games this year, however I believe that it is time for the automatic conference bids to go away.
Wouldn't it be nice if the BCS took the best available teams regardless of conference and matched them accordingly. How about
Alabama VS Penn St
USC VS Texas
Boise St Vs Utah

9-4 V Tech team way less deserving of BCS than many others
10-2 Ohio St also seem less deserving than say Boise, hasn't everyone seen enough of their big game efforts.
I understand its all about money, but these games would all do just fine in ticket sales if you ask me.

Totally agree with your premise but Ohio Sts record in these games in not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I believe Tressel is 3-2 in BCS games with the the 2 shitbombs of the last 2 years obscuring an otherwise decent record.

When there are so many games, they can't help but have a good match-up or two. That's doesn't warrant a "good job" however.

Three BCS games have a 10pt plus line (USC, Alabama and Texas as favorites). Who wants to see Ohio State get whacked again? I give Penn State a chance since USC has a limited offense but, how about USC v. Texas? Cinncy v. VA Tech...who cares?

How did Memphis, S Miss, Miami, Notre Dame, LA Tech, Colorado St, Fresno or Minnesota even get to play based on their seasons?

The best game will be Miss v. Texas Tech. You also nailed the others that are watchable but, it's a long list of uninspired match-ups.

Utah took care of TCU...... Dont just think ALA (fake #1 team all year), is gonna roll Utah....... Give them 50-50 on a S.U. win. If they played FLA, Utah would have a 10% chance of winning..... I hope the boys shock the nation and stay undefeated.....
