I am still new to this site, but want to extend my thanks to everyone that takes time out of their busy day to offer some insight. There are so many great cappers on this site, especially Box and One and Mr. Poon to name a few. I always like to see if my instincts and cap numbers are similar to theirs. Nice to be on the same side as them.

We can all learn from each other and even at times take notes of caution when there might be something that we either missed or thought was too good to be true. So thanks!

Again, I'm a west coast guy and tend to know those teams and conferences better than others, so I tend to lean that way.

Tonight:

UCLA -2
The Bruins are playing at an extremely high level and the starting five looks to be completely in sync with each other. I like the all around game the team possesses. They can play a fast athletic pace if they need to with Collison's great quickness. He can dish out in transition to Holiday or Shipp and when he pentrates he has the ability to find great outside shooters in Dragovic and Roll, but the X-factor has been Aboya. For the majority of the season he was inconsistent and could not be counted on, but during this past 4-game homestand he has flourished. I think UCLA is clicking on all cylinders and DO NOT think they don't remember losing at home in overtime to the Sun Devils. Arizona State is a good squad and Harden might be the best all around player in the Pac-10, but their lack of depth and supporting cast is where they fall short. They can score and Pendergraph rebounds with the best of them, but this UCLA team is too well rounded and playing with so much confidence I do not see Howland letting them fall tonight.

Arizona -2.5
The Wildcats have been an up and down team and right now they are up. After losing 3 straight, which one of those losses came at the hands of this same Trojan team, they have won 5 straight. Budinger is playing remarkable during this winning streak and because of his size and quickness he creates lots of matchup problems. Jordan Hill is a beast averaging a double-double and dictates the tempo inside. Wise is picking up the slack and being very efficient from behind the arc making 50% of his 3's during the five game winning streak (15-30). USC is a scrapy squad and I do think that Hill will have some difficulties inside against Gibson. Taj is a great defender and will be tough competition for him. Lewis and DeRozan both have not been as consistent as Floyd would like. I see this game being a game of perimeter shooting and momentum, which both favor Zona in a crucial game for both. With the line so low, @ home, and playing their best ball right now I like them to make it 6 in row tonight.

San Jose State +1.5
The Spartans since early January never can win two in a row. They win-lose-win-lose-win-lose. You get the picture. One thing is for sure and cannot be disputed, ever since Oliver has come back they are a confident team and playing much better. Since he has returned, in his last four complete games he has scored 37,15,28,29. They battle hard in every game now and tonight get a struggling Nevada team coming into their gym. The Wolf Pack have lost 3 of the last 4 and truly have lost their identity over the last month or so. Their last 2 losses were at home with one of those to perhaps the worst team in the conference, Louisiana Tech. I am ecstatic to get points in this spot as I think Oliver and Company leads the way at home over the lifeless Wolf Pack.

Good Luck to everyone tonight!

Thanks Poon.

Unfortuantely last night was a tough one. UCLA ran into a team that was red hot from outside. Its difficult to beat a team that hits 12 three pointers. The Bruins also got into foul trouble early in both halves and it became too much of a struggle to overcome.

Arizona played a strong second half and pulled away at the end. Wise continued his barrage of three point shooting and Budinger turned it on in the last 5 minutes. You have to like the Cats right now even though this Saturday will be against UCLA. Looking forward to that matchup. This was a game that I really liked.

I apologize for the San Jose State game if anyone followed me. Its all about Oliver and he became a last minute scatch and did not play. He had sprained his ankle last Saturday, but all info said he was going to be fine. Without him in the lineup, this would never be a play. If I would of heard or saw something I would have warned you all. My bets were already in, but if I could help any of you I would have. So again I apologize for this call.

Thanks.
