West Virginia is playing much better...This did not want to play for Gale Catlett and now that he is gone..they have gotten a spark

WVU basically dominated first meeting with Irish despite blowing 6 point lead in final seconds.

The players sound as if they are ready for challenge:

?We?ve had a couple good practices this week,? 6-8 junior Josh Yeager said. ?So maybe we can go out there and get a win. We have a little more confidence now.
?Everyone is trying to get the intensity level back. Coach Drew said, ?You?re going to play hard or not at all,? and the guys really responded against Pitt.
?If we go out there and play like we have in practice, I think we?re going to win the game. If we put 40 minutes together like the first half against Pitt, we?ll be all right.?

Wilson,

I'm with ya' on this one, my friend!

This Mountaineer team still has a lot of fight left in them.

After their unfortunate season to date, this team is not quitting and is playing with a lot of heart.

BTW, thanks for the news article.

not playing this game wouldnot touch anything wvu is involved with.

they can say all they want in paper but it has been a nightmare in the locker room all year, their leader c.moss hates john.h says he is to greedy and doesnot think about team just himself, also team and aremsted havenot seen eye to eye all year because of his mouth.

cta left because he was sick of the mouth of some of the young guys and armsted, this team is split and can blow up anytime they are on the court during the 40 mins, there have even been fist fights in locker room.

good luck but you are messing with fire with this team.

Fletch ...point taken

WVU has been playing much better under Dale C. then under Gail. Gail had problems relating to that generation and could not get them to play hard or play together. The atmosphere has been much more relaxed under Dale. harnett has been playing much better overall since he has started to understand his role better and stop throwing up 3's every trip. Seen quite a few of WVA conference games this year and you can see that they are playing more relaxed and together basketball. I love the points in this game.

good luck guys you know i am pulling for you.

wilson it has pained me to go through fb i knew it would be tuff for a few years but it still hurt, and was really ready to watch them break out in hoops another kick to the nuts but i did make good money at the star,i thought they were going places then jmu and was down hill since.

hes a thought to keep in back of head if hugg doesnot make the move, watch for haswell from fairmont state, they told him to go when he was gails right hand man to get the ropes of a head coach,he was with cat for 9 years, just a thought because it wont be drew or lester.

well good luck and would really love to see a win.

Lucky on that cover...but, I'll take it.

Fletch,

I think Butch would have had a shot if Gale would have went out on a positive note...But, the fans will not accept Butch right now....this program needs a shot in the arm and they need to get someone to get fan support back...but, most of all they need someone who can recruit...I've got sources telling me that Huggins is a done deal...Money will not be an object...Lets hope...Imagine Huggins and a packed Coliseum...It will look like early eighties again

Good Luck

i hope bob does get it,my dad keeps in touch with him, ifnot would like to see butch there but you are right, this screwed him.

hugg would be great i am alittle older then you i think but remember when he played, there was him a guy named mo robision ,the guard that was paralized in the car wreck on 79 ben oglevise sp.

remember when wvu kicked unlv ass when they were 23-0 and came into touchdown city and got their ass handed them ,i think that was the same year wvu went to norman and ate the sooners for lunch in their own back yard. sorry freeze:p

and ramsburgh had a few top 20 baseball teams going may he rest in peace.

then after a game would go over to mario's and pound a few fish bowls,i remember those days well, and late night munchies at wings&things:)
