West Virginia -7

Boys, this is not a partisan view...Rich Rodriguez has finally established his offense in Morgantown. After dismantling 1AA Chattanoogo 56-7 in the first game. They traveled to Wisconsin and played really uptight in front of huge crowd at Wisconsin..gave up 28 points in the 2nd Qt...other than that they outscored Wisconsin 14-0 in the 2nd half. The next week they entered Cincinnati as a 5 point dog...they rolled up over 500 yards offense in 3 quarters and held a 35-17 lead with 5 minutes left (Cincy made a nice comeback) But, WVU won on the road 35-32. Everything I am hearing out of Morgantown is that team attitude is at an all time high and the offense is clicking like clock work in practice. WVU will have value for two more weeks until Vegas catches on that they are pretty darn good. Take the value while it is there..WVU wins this one in BIG fashion.

Nebraska +1

Come on people...everyone and their brother is on ISU. If you look back the past five years...I think the scores are like 49-7, 49-14, 48-14, 77-21...Nebraska owns Iowa State and their backs are against the wall...I think this game will be an easy winner.

Minnesota+3
Joe De says this is a don't make me laugh game...well, Minnesota is 0-5 straight up and 0-5 ATS vs. Purdue the last five years....BUT BUT BUT...I believe this is why Vegas has Purdue as favorite...Minnesota SHOULD run the ball at will vs. Purdue and control the clock...Purdue should get frustrated and give us some turnovers.....I like Minny despite recent history.

Wilson,

Thanks for posting.

I look forward to your opinion on West Virginia in both football and basketball.

I agree with you on this one because I know the combo of Rasheed and Avon can be very potent.

Nebraska
Nebraska is the best play on the board.

I have friends in Lincoln that knows players, and watched some practices...

Nebraska has had 2 weeks to prepair for this game, and they are pumped up and want to win after a loss, and look sharp.

Nebraska is my biggest play of the week.

thanks for the report on WVU. I'm gonna play 'em myself. I also like the Minnesota play.

Re: Nebraska

I actually did something that was very rare for me......

I initially feel for the trash talk against NEBR and bet it early in the week at IA ST -1. Layed 330/300. Then, I got to thinking more about it and read the Message Forum that indeed, this is a backs against the wall game for Nebraska -- which has destroyed IA ST every year for the last 20 seasons. Average ine on this game is about -20 (at IA ST) and now linesmakers have way overreacted and made this a pick. No way IA ST is 20 points improved over last season, and even as bad as NEBR has looked at times this season, this should be viewed as a big game for them. I went back and bet NEBR at -1 (note that line has moved 2 points back to NEBR) and have to eat $30 in vig. Munching on the ten percent, which is better than washing down a loser based on square money overreaction.

i think this is a bad nebraska club

i think this is a bad nebraska club

compared to past editions....you could see the huskers semi-unraveling at the end of last year.......there has now been enough time for the tom osborne influence to start to wane and i think you are seeing the cracks.....whether a mediocre iowa st team has enough to pull it off is questionnable....but,this iowa st team is beginning to remind me of another team that was inspired and carried by their qb years ago(boston college with doug flutie)...and i have to say that my comparisons between the iowa team that iowa st beat and this nebraska team favors iowa...i really think iowa is just as strong in the trenches and has better balance on offense....i certainly wouldn`t empty the wallet on this game as badly as nebraska has looked this year, just based on their past history.......there are better props on the board than guessing that nebraska turns it around......g.l.
