gm 1... that Jokic kid is some kinda player! whatta talent! great hands! great touch! and when Murray gets it going he's an incredible scorer from deep and slashing..
1h Nuggz outscore Lakers 72-54.......... 2h Lakers outscore Nuggz 72-60... they'd cut it to 3 and LeBron took a quick 3 (clank) and their next shot didn't happen cuz this time LeBron didn't wanna shoot and surprised everyone by passing to Reaves (who was covered like a glove), tried to create, threw inside to LJ and Murray poked it away.. game over
Total landed on 258... I had a par Lakers 11.5 and OV 258.5... Lost when Jokic missed his FT w/10 secs left.. Lakers missed their shot, and ref didn't call Reaves for the "meaningless" foul :142smilie
I did win my $270 play on Lakers +8.5, but lost 200 on 1h total went wayyy over 114... and I played live at Un 121.5 and 117.5... won about $50 for the gm overall.. .
I felt pretty good as I had +8.5 (bought 2)... laid -150 juice.. guys do it in baseball all the time and won't in hoops..? wtf?

Hit Heat tonight for +$414..

gm 2 Lakers.. I think/hope Lakers figured out a better approach defensively in the 2h by using Hatchimura to cover Jokic... he's much quicker yet still strong enough to slow him a little and allows Davis to 'float' more around the key on defense protecting the basket

LAKERS + 7.5... 450 to win 300

I'm tempted to play EITHER Lakers ML (+180) OR take em on the series (+210)... Immagonna sleep on it! probly do series.. then do an open par w/Laker ML to (open)..

Gnite and Gluck to US! :popcorn2

Good stuff man. I barely watch any more but the last few weeks I've been trying to get on the right side as much as possible. I also won w the Heat last night both +9 and ML. Won Lakers +8 in Gm 1 but lost them on the ML. I used to feel weird about buying points so often but the last few years I do it a lot. Some buy and some don't and there are of course pros/cons. Whenever you win one (or even just push instead of losing) you start feeling really good about all the other buys. In football I tend to buy on the important numbers...3, 4, 7, etc and if I buy then I usually take it to a whole number. If a dog is on 6 I'll take it 7 but if on 6 1/2 I'll take it to 8 (hope that makes sense).

Anyway, I like Lakers again tonight both points and ML. I miss the days when I actually liked the league itself and can't wait for college football to come back around. It's just about the only sport I watch now. Good luck!

Added in game parlay..
Lakers +1.5/OV 220.5

If total rises to 227 or so I'll think about Lakers/under par:SIB

tailed Al Farr on 1h UN (won $60 after losing 200 the other night on it )...

pressed the Lakers ML at halftime for another hundred (to cover the "live bet" parlay if it stays under 221...

despite LeBron's f**kups on 1h layups and breakaways.. they're playing with energy and KNOW they need to win in Denver... and if Davis gets off his a** they'll blow em out

I think I made $40 for the night so yeah I'll take it. I saw the halftime score and decided to hedge. Took Denver ML at around -120 and so I hit that and the original side of Lakers +7 and lost the Lakers ML.

Heat line is up to 10 and I said this morning that it looks too easy to take Celtics and count on the blowout. Heat got what they wanted, one win in Boston. I just think it's too many points and it is "too easy".

I'm gonna take Heat +11 (buy a point) but also taking Celtics/Lakers ML Parlay. Both bets are right around -130.

I love seeing others discuss their strategy and/or what they did the night before, etc. Glad you came out positive last night too. Good luck tonight!

kicking myself for not believing in da heat enough to make bigger bet last night, even in-game... oh well!

Today....

so far I played Lakers -3.5 (buy 2) 150/100... I'm thinking that IF Nuggz stay close or take lead at some point in 2Q mebbe I can get a better ML than the -235 currently at my shop..

we'll see how the afternoon progresses!

GL to US!!!

I thought no way Heat would win last night. I just home from a long day of work (overtime will be good though) and am gonna take Denver +7 (buy 1 1/2) and Denver ML. Gonna take something in Preakness but very small. Leaning towards just taking Mage to win to set up a possible Triple Crown but haven't even looked at lines yet.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like everyone expects Lakers to win and not go down 3-0. That said, Lakers are still a mediocre 7-seed and Denver a 1-seed getting that many points. It could easily go either way but I'm rolling w Nuggets.

after working so hard to come from behind the whole game, Lakers took the lead early in the 4th qtr... then immediately had 2 terrible turnovers and gave up 3 straight 3pt shots to the Nuggz.. game over!
there was no comparison between the shooting of the 2 tms.. Nuggz 17 3pt makes, Lakers 10 (and it seemed like Reaves was the only one making anything!)...
Russell was awful (1 for 8)
LeBron finally made his 1st 3pt shot of the series at end of 3qtr! was like 1 for 23 before that! :mj07: GOAT? Most points.. Yes! Greatest? nah.. a physique that's never been seen on the basketball floor before.. Yes! But he knew he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and if Reaves wasn't in the game, neither could ANY other Laker!!! Schroder.. Russell.. Lebron... smelly!

Why is it LeBron bulls his way for points mainly on layups and FTs and then decides he's only gonna shoot 3s..

the whole #7 vs #1 doesn't hold a lot of water w/me cuz THIS version of Lakers didn't come into being til the last 20 gms or so of the yr.. the prev version REALLY sucked!

but in the NBA.. at some point, ya gotta make the ball IN da BASKET! and stop the 1 guy on the udder team that's makin EVerything! deny him the ball.. foul him.. force him inside the 3pt line so at least he's only getting 2 at a time lol...

oh well... lost about 360 tonite.. won about 84 in mlb... not bad for such a crappy performance.

at least I got the Heat in their series... and Koepka to win the PGA at 2/1... hope that'll take some sting off tonite

gnite

ya know, I've been thinkin about that lately.. doing the daily paperwork wasn't so bad or extremely time consuming... but typing it all out on here in a clear concise manner, maintaining the daily stats etc was what turned me off... was a daily grind

I think I'll gather the papers and put some historical info together... it's old, but I bet the system still works...

EVERY TIME A TEAM STARTS A HOMESTAND OF 6 GMS or more... THEY WILL HAVE AT LEAST 1 OVER (total) AND at LEAST 1 UNDER...

also...

EVERY TIME A TEAM STARTS A ROAD TRIP of 6 GMS or more... same thing.. at least 1 Over and at least 1 Under...

So... to track.. you need access to the daily totals that were set for the gm... team schedules... and final scores

I don't remember the website I used to look for historical lines and results as I went bk like 3 yrs before starting the system...but can start anew with fresh stats going forward..

I'll look into it T OFF... and post in the MLB room :0074

Just saw these replies and yeah like I said, sorry didn't reply just so busy.

Canuck sorry they cost you the 4-teamer lol that really sucks. And LoB I totally understand what you're saying about not the same team as most of the season. I'm surprised they got swept but I'm glad I've won some bets and I can't stand LeBron so that's good too lol. I was hoping the Warriors would beat them and I bet w my heart in that series which is stupid I know lol
