Just like True detective season 2, when things get complicated or slightly different than 1st season people think it's bad.
imo excellent storytelling how and why this whole WW developed.
picture ratio changes were interesting tip when things are happening.
i have been watching this weekly, but i'm sure i'm gonna binge it at some point.

if you don't like talking and want to see tits+gore, this wasn't very good season.
BUT if you have eye for details and figure out what's going on this is 5/5
for example
this is a tip for major plot twist:

i missed that completely (i tried to catch the name of the book person in picture was grabbing )
but now afterwards it's clear as ever...

btw did you watch it until credits ended, there was one final scene there :0008
ya know you'll give season 3 a try when it comes out....
"Friday Night Lights" and "Twin Peaks" had notably bad second seasons too....so did the fine "True Detective". But with the estimable David Milch (of "Deadwood" and the even better "John From Cincinnati" and "Luck" with Dustin Hoffman, about horse racing and gambling) being brought in for season 3, which is filming now, "True Detective" should be much improved...
ya know you'll give season 3 a try when it comes out....
After 1st of 3rd, looks like complicated story telling has been toned down a bit... Decent start.
