WD's.....Berger should have been a NS, why he went to the tee....

WD's.....Berger should have been a NS, why he went to the tee....

Daniel Berger hit just one shot today at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational before calling it quits, citing a shoulder injury.

Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from this week's WGC-Bridgestone Invitational due to an ankle injury. He was 5-over through 13 at the time of the WD

New Orleans
for round 2, playing:

Matsuyama -115 vs Watson

liked what I saw out of Hideki yesterday, namely his 300+ yard 3-wood on the par 5 16th, as that shot tells me that he is feeling 100% (something that I have been doubting due to his recent poor form) - Bubba as usual seemed to be blaming his poor shots on everyone but himself and there was a stark contrast in overall body language yesterday between these two players - looking for more of the same today

as always, good luck

William McGirt 34
Emiliano Grillo 25
McGirt fell back yesterday after leading in rd1, but he is still in 3rd place and only two shots off the pace, so these seem large odds for a player who won the Memorial Tournament a month ago
Grillo is also in 3rd place and is also in good form having finished 2nd last week in Japan; he is also playing well this week - 2nd in greens in regulation - so warrants attention at these odds

uhhhh, not much to say about this one - Matsuyama basically 3 putted the 1st 3 holes (including from inside 14 feet on 2) while Bubba birdied his 1st 2 holes and it never really got much closer from there - not sure what's wrong with Matsuyama but I won't be in any hurry to back him again any time soon

David Lingmerth 10
With good form stats - 12th in the U.S. Open and 6th on his course debut here last year - and as a player who has already won against a strong field on the PGA Tour - he won the 2015 Memorial Tournament - Lingmerth represents value at these odds for a player who is only one shot off the lead and should take advantage if Day struggles again off the tee.

I have some Piercy at 80-1 myself. Gotta hope Day has trouble with driver one more day. Hope Piercy is in it on the back and gives me some entertainment this afternoon!
