This game will sorprise a lot of people, if you do not will go to put your money on Mexico, then do not put your money on this game, Mexico will win.

Mexico was been a deception when they go to a world cup, they can't do anything good when they have the world cup's in 1970 and 1986, but this team is different, the ideology is victorius, and the players are not in they're best moment but have a good level, with marquez on defense, torrado at half, and palencia and blanco in front!! be careful, Mexico can be a dark horse every cup they play, they have a good level all the time, the mind was what fvck them all the time, and this is almost erradicated!!

good luck!!

and like to see some toughts or comments

I know virtually nothing about soccer, but probably the most exciting match I've ever watched was Mexico/Germany in 1998. Never watched a whole soccer game before that. Thought Mexico showed a lot of skill and heart in that one. They had some serious skills around the net. Who is their goaltender? I really liked that one guy, Campos, I think?

Good luck with your pick, Javier.

Thanks nighthorse!!

Right now the titular goalkeeper is Perez, the name is Oscar "El conejo" Perez, Campos is on the bench but the goalkeeper Perez is very good!!

Talking about Mexico team, Mexico increase their level versus good teams and leave the soul, body ant heart on the field.

I was seeing a soccer program, and they says Blanco (Mexico best man and forward) will not start the game because has a little bad phisical condition, but, careful, I think is the stratergy !!!

good luck

Nick!! if you like, take Mexico over Ecuador! Mexico starts with +230 Vs Croatia, rigth now in my local is +170, then my logical thinking is right now Mexico is +110 Vs Ecuador, win or lose Vs Croatia, Mexico should find the win Vs Ecuador, because Italy is a so tought game to win, and they need that win to go to the second round, and the line will go to be negative after the game versus Croatia !!

good luck!1

Can't see Croatia losing this one.
This Croatian team is better than 4 years ago IMHO.
Best play is under 2.5 goals.
Correct score Croatia 1-0

Croatia is not better than 4 years ago!, at France 1998 they was a surprise, a dark horse, a team who nobody see, and with a Suker youngest, strongest and speediest!

Right now they lost they best defender man, their central defense, and have a Suker oldest and slowest then 4 years a go! Croatia is not a surprise right now, just is a dream, just because the dark horse is just a black horse in one cup!! :D

whatever! good luck!!!

This Croatian team plays better than 4 years ago. New coach made the system that works excellent. Suker is still here, but behind 1 or 2 attackers (depending on opponent) as offesive midfielder (so Suker as top goalscorer is not good bet). He's older and slower, but he was never a runner, he's best side was and still is technique. This team finaly has Boksic (missed F'98 due to injury) and a couple of excellent young attackers (Vlaovic, Balaban, Olic).
Midfield is weaker than F'98. Boban and Asanovic are hard to replace but here's Prosinecki. He can play brilliant for at least 45'.
Best side is defence. Only 2 goals against in 8 WCQ matches and 0 GA in 4 friendly mathes this year (all w/o Tudor). They are better with Tudor, but only with healthy Tudor and he's not fit for over 1 year.
Best bet is under 2.5 goals in all of their games and value is 1-0 as they are not scoring much cause they have to secure their own goal first.

I am seeing you know a lot about Croatia team, but, what do you know about Mexico team???

nobody in Croatia work in the recovering of the ball, they play with the offense when they have the ball, and the defense when the ball is passing the half, and you can't resist all the game with this game.

good luck!!

You got me here. I don't know much about Mexico, I don't know their players.
I know only that key defender Suarez is out injured, Arellano and Rodriguez are suspended and results in Mexico's games.
I'm not objective about this game cause I'm croatian.
Winner in this game probably goes to 2nd round.
Good luck !

jejeje, I was know it!! :moon:

Well the key defender and captain of Mexican team is Rafael Marquez, he plays in the Monaco of France, and teams like the Real Madrid, Barcelona and Milan wants him.

Arellano and Rodriguez are out, sure, but they are to other games. The key players are the goalkeeper Oscar Perez, the midfielder Gerardo Torrado, and the forwards key players are Palencia and expecially Cuauhtemoc Blanco (Blanco is like Suker in 1998 to Croatia), Blanco is not in good phisic condition, but can play like 65 minutos, that is why he does not will start, but is a surprise :D

Sincerely and being objective, this game will be a real war!! because both teams think they can't do nothing Vs Italy, but in USA 1994 Mexico was in the death group with Ireland, Norway and Italy, and they pass with the 4 teams tieds in that group, Mexico tie the game Vs Italy, this is just for confidence.

One more time

Good luck and the best will win!!!

Javier :D

One tip: never see the results of the eliminatories, just see how they play at world cup!! and consistence :D, remember Cameroon dark horse, when you hear Cameron you think they will do anything good, but since they dark horse world cup, they do not do anything!!

This is the way I see Croatia's lineup will look like but it depends on the game or the team their up against, Jozi? said that he will rotate during the tournament. And if one analyzed this squad, there are only a few players which won't be engaged. All the others have chances, but depends on tactics. For example, if Croatia played a very physical team then the first 11 would be different than against Mexico, where Jozi? will probabaly take speedy players, with good technique and only one or two header "specialists", also in the defense, because Mexico isn't a threat in the air. But this is only an assumption. Could be also the other way round and he plans to win the game in the air !?
Jozi? said that he knows exactly his team in the first match, but unfortunately hasn't given any hints.
A fixed point is the goalie, Pletikosa. The defense ?ivkovi?, ?imi?, R.Kova?. Now, it's not clear if ?imuni? will play. Maybe Jarni on the left. Tomas in defense midfield together with N.Kova?, but could be also Soldo, who has played many years as central defense organizator very successfully (there are not few, who regard him as best in this position).
On the right wing, Stani?, supposedly. But could also be that he won't take a classical wing because ?ivkovi? is already on this side, more defensively, though.
In the offense maybe Prosine?ki with ?uker and Bok?i? as forwards, but could be also ?uker behind Bok?i? and Oli?, without Prosine?ki. Oli? is our best striker atm, but he's still unexperienced.
On the other hand, Rapai? played very well and effective the last matches, something like a right wing, but also in creator position. Vlaovi? and Balaban have less chances, but who knows? Vlaovi? was always an excellent "Joker" and Balaban has a lot of talent and speed, he shot our important goals and was most responsile that Croatia is on the WC at all, but lacks match praxis, because he hasn't played much in Villa.

In one word: There are about 14-16 favorites, but nobody will be able to tell You the final 11.

Just found out Croatia has the 2nd tallest team..... interesting and something to remember

No Palencia, who has impressed me lately as one of the most consistent Mexican players. And the inclusion of Mercado, IMHO a fringe player at best. Let's see how it goes but I am not very sure about el Tri's chances. Croatia seem to revel in the big game/event setting so I'm expecting a Croatian victory here.

Suker is getting on in age so don't expect him to have as big a impact as he did in '98, but i'm sure he'll add stability to the lineup and some much-needed experience to the side.

Croatia's defense is very solid, so if goals go flying in it would be at the Mexican end. I would expect a low scoring affair here.

Group G in general promises a lot of low scoring games
Strange lineup by Aguirre.

Couple that with a rock-solid defence, with only 2 goals conceded during world cup qualifying the UNDER seems like a good play here.

Mexico are tough and experienced. They'll probably try to push the advantage early on but I think the croat defence will be up to the task. I don't expect a blowout but CRO 1-0 is my bet...

Just one think to say about the teams where play the players of Croatia, that means nothing, Croatia has a no so good league, is by this the Croatians go to other leagues, the Croatia players with their "dark horse" actuation on France wins a lot of contracts and facilities to their playes, yes, they are good, but in Mexico are a lot of players, but they are Mexicans and have a respectable league (one of the best leagues in America), but was have a big problem of attitude and mentality.

Mexico is an enigmata before the first game, Croatia did what they can did in France, the emotional moment is for Mexico, Mexico wants more, Croatia wants just the next round!!!

maybe because I am Mexican my credibility is minium because I talk with the heart, but, money is money, and I can't do a collage of both thingS!!

good luck!!
