myself....
1. I've never been too fond of spiders.
2. not having a bottle of Captain Morgans in the cabinet
3. losing to Ohio State
4. witnessing any pro or college team from Ohio "win it all".
5. running out of gas on Glenwood avenue in Youngstown.

Seriously...my wife is deathly afraid of storms. I love em but my wife wants to run to the basement at the first sign of lightning.

I am scared needles for 1 and 2.
I sometimes wake up real scared that I have missed my alarm, and I go running to the kitchen to make sure that my clock has the correct time.
I will get scared when someone else is driving me.
I get scared when I walk out of the casino with a lot of money.
 I sometimes get scared in the 4th qtr of the egg bowl when MSU is loseing. But not this year.

4. Hairless things :) ...... (with the exception of SMALL frogs and toads) scared of any hairless creature.....snakes, fish (sorry), worms.......ANYTHING HAIRLESS!!!!

Personally, I've always had trouble with heights. I dread when I have to climb a ladder, get on the roof, clean the gutters, or any other thing that requires being off the ground.

For me the scariest things are:

1) Snakes
2) Spiders (we get some huge bastards in Australia)
3) Heights
4) The thought of having a 0-40 losing streak

Must also mention:

5) The thought of running into Anders in a gay bar

Death just like mama not myself just anyone i know, don't deal with it good at all.

hights thats why i take xannax when i fly and you won't see me look out a window in a tall building nor will i go in one many times.

hurricanes lost house in a place called country side in miami back in 92 during andrew was stuck in bathroom witha ex and 2 dogs and a matress, were 20 miles inland so thought we would be fine,do have a great 5 hour video of it all from the start of trees being torn out of the ground and the green explosens from the power grids outside to parts of my roof being sucked off into the night, then it was off to bathroom ,one of the only rooms left of the house little small inner guest bathroom with no windows,to all the aftermath the next morning. worst fear of my life was that night, thats when i started having panic attacks about a week later and have battled them ever since.

panic attacks when i am driving at night alone,or sometime in my house alone but always at night:shrug: these things really suck, ranks up there with being a drunk.

1) DEATH! not to me, but loved ones. like mama and fletch said, do NOT handle it well. scared of getting that dreaded call (someone crying uncontrolably at the other end) saying _____has died. EEWWWW!!!

2) Getting OLD WHERE SOMEONE HAS TO TAKE CARE OF YOU! when i get to that point, take me outside and plant one into the old skull. shoot me and please do not let me live that way!

3) COCKROACHES! or as we said in florida (Palmetto bugs) YUCK! i think it's the crackling/squishing sound of steping on them at 3am as i walk to the bathroom. only happened 2 or 3 times but shit that's 2 or 3 times TOO DAMN MANY! like snakes, bugs (except above), spiders, lizards. just cockroaches make my hair stand on end.

4) that damn free fall ride on top of the Stratasphere (sp?) felt like my skin was coming off. (esp on the way up) had to change the old skivies after that fiasco!

Not scared of heights but am scared of widths LOL.
Human mind is funny and how they cope with situations like athletes, some want to take that last shot some don't.
Classic example: Lay 2 by 4 on the floor and everyone would walk straight down it with no reservation but put same board 300 ft in air and they wouldn't crawl down it for $100. Its all about risk tolerance:)

Have you ever tried listening to books on tape while you drive? I sometimes get a bit uptight, panicky, anxious myself (whatever you wanna call it) One of my tricks is to get my mind focused on something else. If you get anxious when you are driving try it, it may help, especially on long highway drives! :) :)

bugs--damn near ALL of those critters, especially spiders. don't like any of those little bastids crawling on me. ugh!

My fears have been mostly mentioned, but my biggest fear is
claustrophobia......Have it big time.Don't close the door if I am in a small room,I will go nuts.
Heights are also a fear...I could go to the roof a the Empire State Bldg.but I will freak out if I have to look down.
I also have a fear of flying, but do if it is absolutely necessary & provided I have valium in me.
I too have a fear of public speakingwhich is strange for me considering I was in sales & had to give a few speeches.right before I break out into a sweat that makes look like I had malaria. But I think this fear is pretty common.
Aging also scares me but I guess it beats the alternative.I told my wife when I get old & senile she could put me in a home provided my bed is near a window.

Jack....I kind of like when the doctor puts those gloves on ,I find it exciting.LOL!

Sharks,Sharks and Sharks!!! The kind that swim, LOL!! Bridges, when I was a kid thought it would be great to put nets on the sides of bridges , never understood how a 3ft. rail would keep you from going over the edge in a bad accident. Mostly the big, tall ones iover a body of water, that thought was always followed by if you hit the water, you guessed it, SHARKS!! Saw them film Jaws on Marthas vineyard when i was a kid, the big mechanical shark still scared the jit out of me no matter how many times i got to touch it or told it was a big toy.
