What Did Mitch Albom do?

I just saw a reference on CNN's Reliable Sources about Mitch Albom doing something wrong, what happend?

I've been busy with visiting relatives this week and missed it.

I kind of like Albom - despite his obvious liberal leanings. What happend?

I like Mitch, read both his books and listen to his radio show, all I have to say is big deal. If that's all there is to it man talke about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Mountain out of a mole hill? He wrote a column for one of the biggest newspapers in America that was based on "facts" that weren't true. Someone of lesser stature than Albom would've almost certainly been fired for that.

His intentions weren't bad, and that's why I don't consider it THAT bad, but it certainly is a big deal.
