I do a quick ss crab dish from time to time....saute one large or 2 small crabs in olive oil and wrap in a pita spread with hummus. I made this sandwich based on ingredients available in my house one day a few years back. One hell of a combination, even though probably doesn't sound like it
Found some places that would ship them cleaned and individually frozen. I know fresh is always better but have yall had previously frozen before? Worth getting if going to try for first time or wait?

If I were you, I would wait to have someone (or place) prepare them for you. Think of never eating steak and then getting a package of Omaha Steaks and not knowing what temp, seasoning, aging, searing is.........
