Asian Lines Option Odds Place Bet!
Spain -.5, -1 -115
Paraguay +.5, +1 -125

The above line is from Intertops. Can anyone explain to me what an Asian line is? Does that mean a bet on both halves? Is that a typo above?

Any help here? Thx.

this is a bit complicated but in this particular case:

it's like splitting your stake between 0.5 and 1 goal spreads, 1/2 on each.

If you bet Spain and they win by 2 goals or more, you win the whole bet.
If they win by one goal, you win the -0.5 part and push on -1.
If you risk 115$ on Spain, you win 100$ if they win by 2 or more and 50$ if they win by one.

If you bet Paraguay and they win or draw, you win the whole bet.
If they lose by one goal, you lose the +0.5 part and push on +1 - so you get 1/2 of your stake back.
If you risk 125$ on Paraguay, you win 100$ if they win or draw and lose 62.5$ if they lose by one.

It's also known as a 3/4 line. Other examples are 1/4 (split between pk/0.5), 1.25 (1/1.5) etc.
The purpose is to even out the money as much as possible. The 40 cent line you seem to have is not very good though.
