I don't get it. I can understand the arms race to get to space before the USSR in the cold war. I can see the billions spent when our country really thought that we might need, or be able to actually use a space station.
But I have a hard time thinking of a bigger waste of tax money than NASA. Guess what? We 'aint gonna live on the fuking moon, and we aren't going to inhabit Mars anytime soon. Wouldn't that money be better spent on alternative fuel sources or something that is more pertinent to our every day lives???
There is a big article on CNN about some lab that cost 2 billion that we just helped launch to space. Who the fuk cares what is the damn point?
