The football season is officially in the books with some of the wildest finishes in years in both the NCCAA title game and last Sunday?s Super Bowl LI. That means that basketball moves to the top of the list for sport?s bettors at America?s Bookie. This weekend?s action gets things started with a big NBA double header this Friday night on ESPN and the top two college teams in the nation will face a stiff test on the road this Saturday to stay at the top of the list.

The NHL?s weekend schedule is packed with some great inter-conference showdowns and there is plenty of European soccer action on tap as well. MMA fight fans can look forward to an impressive card on Saturday night in UCF 208 and there are betting odds posted for action in both professional golf and tennis. NFL fans looking for a betting fix can get the early jump on Super Bowl LII with a full set of futures odds posted on America?s Bookie for all 32 teams.

The red-hot Washington Wizards may have cooled a bit with bettors with just one cover in their last four games against the spread, but they head into Friday?s matchup at home against Indiana with a straight-up 12-2 record over their last 14 games. Overall, they have still been highly profitable during this run with an 11-3 record ATS. America?s Bookie has opened the Wizards as five-point home favorites for this 8 p.m. (ET) start on ESPN and the betting line for the total has been set at 214.5. Indiana?s 132-117 loss to Cleveland on Wednesday as a 3.5-point home underdog snapped a SU seven-game winning streak and the Pacers have gone 5-3 ATS in their last eight games.

Jumping ahead to Sunday?s NBA betting action, the featured matchup on ABC in a 3:30 p.m. tip at Madison Square Garden is an inter-conference tilt between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks. The Spurs (40-12 SU, 29-22-1 ATS) are four games in back of Golden State in the Western Conference standings heading into Friday?s night road game against Detroit as 4.5-point favorites. America?s Bookie has set the total line for that matchup at 209. San Antonio has split the first two games of its extended eight-game road trip while failing to cover in both contests to fall to 2-5 ATS in its last seven games. The Knicks are 1-5 SU (2-4 ATS) in their last six games with Denver coming to town on Friday night.

Defending national champion Villanova has been at or near the top of the college basketball national rankings all season long and this Saturday the No. 2 Wildcats will go on the road to face No. 24 Xavier in a Big East battle at 2:30 p.m. on FOX. Villanova is 23-2 SU with a 10-2 record in conference play. However, it has dropped to 13-12 ATS this season after failing to cover in its last six games. Xavier is a game and a half off the pace in the Big East standings at 8-3 SU, but it has been costly as well for bettors at America?s Bookie with a 2-7 mark ATS over its last nine games.

Later on Saturday night in an 8:15 p.m. tip on ESPN, the top team in the nation will be in action when the Gonzaga Bulldogs put their current SU 25-game winning streak on the line in a road game against No. 20 St. Mary?s. The first time these two West Coast Conference foes met this season Gonzaga rolled to a 79-56 victory at home as a five-point favorite on America?s Bookie?s closing line. The Bulldogs have gone 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games and the Gaels come into this rematch with a 3-5 record ATS since that first loss.
