I am running out of ideas.....my wife is simple and that makes it tougher for me? She is not into jewelry or watches. What are some ideas for gifts that you guys have come up with this year for the wife:shrug:

I have the same problem. She really doesn't care. My wife does like jewelry and watches but I can't pick out the jewelry and I think she has the entire Movado collection.

How about a trip? I think YOUR wife would love for you to just retire. That would be the best you could give her.

"Honey, I retired and am not going to the office ever again. Let's go to Spain on Monday."

Hey,

Here is an idea....

Give her a Biltmore Estate vacation package in Asheville, NC.

They have a phenomenal winery! I know she has been already, but add some things she hasn't done there, like a behind the scenes winery tour and a behind the scenes, rooftop tour of the estate.....

OR

you could book a cabin in the smokies!!!

Lastly, there is a guy in Birminham that makes great Cuban food. Consider a gift certificate maybe?

I have the same problem when it comes to my daughter. She never asks for anything and that makes it impossible and it feels so one sided when my son asks for everything under the son.

For your wife:

Not sure where you live or what she's into but if it's cold where you live a remote started for the cars is the absolute nuts. You can get them with a phone app that you can start the car from anywhere there is cell service. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but starting the car when she's checking out in the mall and walking out to a warm car is pretty awesome.

Amazon Echo/Alexa and Prime/Spotify. If she likes to listen to music in the house this thing is great. I know it does a lot of other things, most of them useless IMO, but to have one of those hooked up to Spotify means you/she can literally just say something like "Alexa play Eric Clapton" and it starts playing Eric Clapton songs. Of course you can specify songs, etc...

The other thing Alexa does that I like is you can buy Phillips Hue light bulbs (a little pricey) and they do work outside. With the app on your phone you can turn the outside lights on when you come home and it's dark and nobody remembered to leave the lights on.

How the hell did we ever manage to survive without these things?
