I know what I should do but Christmas was last month.

I have a buddy who put's in plays w/me. I constantly remind him about buying 1/2 points. My local had Ok St. -2 1/2. He wants 2 dollars on Ok. St -2 1/2 per "my" suggestion. He never buys 1/2 points. Says it's a waste of juice. I even reminded him one more time tonight. I put 3 dollars down so we have a nickel on the game but I buy the 1/2 point. Obviously "we" push. He loses but doesn't know I bought the 1/2 point.
What to do, what to do.
Anyone else been in this spot or something like it?
Have him learn a lesson or have a friend for life?
Thanks nole

That would show alot of class on your part .
And if he happened to find out it went the other way , you would lose a friend over a few hundred bucks.
That would be a classy gesture on your part and he will be so happy , he better throw in drinks and a desert..

Taoist, I gotta tell you, I've paid extra juice many times w/him not knowing because I bought the 1/2 pts. This is the 1st time this has happened and I was always looking at it as a very minor hedge just in case it fell on the number. I push, he loses. But now that it's happened, I'm feeling kinda awkward. Bottom line is I recommended the play after I(we) hit the Syracuse game and he said he would leave it up to me on the OU game.
I am gonna let him know when I'm buying 1/2 pts from here on out though, I guarantee you that.
Thanks for everyone's input. nole

...that's an honest reply. here's how it goes...if you plan to continue to do this in the future, you better keep the money now because i'll guarantee you that you'll pay the juice for him more often than tonight's outcome will happen....because, essentially, you're putting yourself in a "book's position" by taking one bet and placing another...if you're going to insist on playing middle man, which is a bad thing in and of itself, then you should always place the bet that's called into you...or deal with the consequences...and i mean mentally, morally, emotionally and psychologically much more than financially.

...otherwise, give it back because a "true friendship" is worth more than money can ever buy and just don't put yourself in that position again. ;)
