Does anyone esle this that SD is becoming a better & better play the more this Videogate gets attention?

It is growing bigger & bigger w/ more & more teams jumping in on it. Might the Pats be distracted this week? Plus SD on a major revenge game....

Videogate or not, I think the Chargers get their revenge on Sunday. Brady won't be able to look downfield to his 3rd and 4th options this week. SD pass rush will be fierce and all day.
Also, let's not forget 3 out of their 4 losses last year were at home. San Diego +165

I think a bunch of dogs beat the spread this week,
San Diego being one of them.

GL this week :toast:

Above the Clouds....
San Die seems to be a popular pick this Sun. I have them in several pools. Might lay off a straight bet though with all the controversy. GL.

Wouldn't touch this game either way.
You may see the players circle the wagons and use an us against them mentality and want to prove something to people... or they could be distracted and lose, who knows, wouldn't touch it.

i would be very surprised if n.e. was distracted...too many vets to let that happen...

Yeah this one is interesting. I'll try to speak from a purely bet argument, as everyone knows how I feel about the Pats...

I think SD is the play. SD and the pts, SD ML.

SD wants revenge. I can't say NE doesn't care about this game, but they always see the bigger picture and a loss here isn't that big. NE is going to win the east regardless.

A loss might even take pressure off NE's situation. They won't lose on purpose, but again its one of those things. NE seems to take games off when they don't need them and play for the big picture.

The only thing I could see is NE wanting to send a message and then its still anyone's game. SD is better and I see them winning for several reasons.

Actually Blitz you are totally correct. A lot of idiots will be saying that (and no, not me...)

People would take one game, against arguably the best team in the league, and blow it out of proportion saying that very thing. They can't win if they don't cheat.

The Pats do a lot of things very well.

We'll probably never know how often this was done, how much other teams do it, how much of an advantage they really got out of it, etc.

But, like I've said, a lot of things sure seem to add up and its stuff I've been bitching about for years. (And I do bitch a lot).

I've argued how there off line blocks perfect and never get called for holding. But after really watching for a couple games, I conceded.

I saw that they really weren't holding and I said their O-Line was GREAT and so highly overlooked.

Well, the current side of that is, its probably a LOT easier to block if you know what's coming.

Again, I think Chargers are best team in league now and will win the game. I think it means way more to them and the Pats are content to win a weak division and set themselves up for a playoff run....

I'd love nothing more than to see the cheatin patsies lose 42-0. But we all know they will end up winning the game, and everyone will be on the "see it doesn't even matter" bandwagon. God I hate that team!!

Honestly, I don't think the cheating thing will have any impact on this game. It gives the media and fans something to talk about but the players are not affected by it.

As far as this game goes I dont think the patriots will be able to stop LT like the bears did and the Bolts young receivers will be more involved this week therefore opening up the offense more and having a more balanced offense.

As far as revenge, yea some of the players, especially the defense is talking about revenge for last year, especailly the way the Pats behaved after the game calling them "Classless" so the D will defenitly be firing on all cylinders. I think it will be a close low scoring game.

but it could be a high scoring game as well :thumb:

So Cal
LW T.Brady had 5...6 seconds every time he dropped back to throw the ball. NYJ had no pass rush at all. It was comedic how much time Brady had to make his decisions. I get the feeling he has alot less time this week to get the ball out of his hands.

What scares me about S.D is the secondary.
They've got room for improvment.
S.D front 7 is the best in the NFL. Chargers pass rush is the real deal. If they can get in his face and disrupt his timing S.D can limit his production.

I like the Chargers to win outright.

SD seconday is terrible and brady will expose that fact at home as his line is very good and will neutralize sd defense.

lets not forget, the bears went extremely conservative but wr bernard berrian was open all day long over the middle (as was the seam route with the tight end) plus sd offense still lacks speed at the wr spot...take away lt and or gates and make rivers beat you, i havent seen him be able to do that yet...he's best feeding off play action to lt or dumping to lt

also dont forgetm, ne owns this series.

I hope Brady breaks his leg. I hate this team of cheats and you know they are all in on it.

The guy with the camera was removed a few minutes into the first quarter...when the game was still close..the route occured after that. Everything from then on couldn't even be considered as having some extra edge. The o-line really is that good.

LOL. Ok, I'm convinced. LOL!!!

Look, no one is saying the Pats are really a bad team over the last few years. They are a good team. They just aren't a championship team.

They are above average and cheated to take themselves to the next level.

Look at all those close super bowls and other close games. Look at how every week there is so much parity and so many games are determined by 10 points or less and how a couple plays here and there can mean the difference.

Well, enter the Pats. They cheated to get those little advantages and use them at the right time.

To throw a couple screens on blitzes. To block a little better on one side. To hit an open guy against a certain coverage.

No point in arguing with me about it. Pats have been caught several times and this time there is concrete proof. Caught red-handed.

They may not be alone, but face facts, there titles are tarnished. Honestly the league is even more of a joke.

I watch to gamble and to play fantasy and thats pretty much it.

I stand by my statement of Brady's leg. Sorry. You can beat me all you want, but cheating me...thats totally different.

NOTHING IS WORSE THAN A CHEAT. NOTHING.
