I know exactly what I was doing. I was at our weekly poker game. This news pretty much stopped play while we watched TV for a bit to get the full news. It was announced on MNF by Howard Cosell.

John Lennon (October 9, 1940 ? December 8, 1980) was murdered on this date 37 years ago. R.I.P.
