first thing.....

i was watching uncs/va yesterday and Ian walks into the room.

Ian: "who do you have, dad?"
me: "state, Ian"
Ian: "loophole would be happy to hear THAT!"




anyway..........looks like your pack has been going, win one lose one (su and ats) the last 6 or 7, while the terps have won 12 iar su with only one loss ats vs wake and won the last 4 vs. state su and ats.

terps seem to be getting better, imo, while the pack have been inconsistant. cris has 9.5 but will probably go up because i'm sure maryland will be the popular vote for today.

gotta figure maryland to hit the mid to high 80's and the pack to hit mid to high 70's and i'm guessing the total will be around 155?

naturally, as a homer, i like my terps but if they make the number 155 or lower, im liking the over as well.

whataya think?

opened this thread expecting the dreaded "cap" challenge knowing i'm two lids down already. yesterday state did what they'll have to do today to win this game - shoot lights out from the perimeter and defend inside. as they appear in good form and will probably have the crowd with them i'll probably give them a go today. also have to agree with you about the total today. state will have to stay hot and put up threes today to compete; there's no way they can stay with the terps in a half-court, inside-oriented game. herb is bound to know that, and he usually does a good job in acc tourney preparation. all the above leads me to the inescapable conclusion this game will be played out in the 80's.


and yes, i'll go another hat on whatever the spread lands short of gametime. if i lose this one i'll just order a case of pack wear and ship it to accident


ps - ian was right, thanks for supporting the pack yesterday. should be a fun game to watch today.

I'd love to. . .but, I'm watching my 3 year old son today. They might serve him at Uno's, however. With this mild weather we've been having, I imagine the skiing business and bar business has to be slow up there this winter.
I'm confined to the living room today. Did you ever try to watch a basketball game with a 3 year old? I have to have two TV's going at the same time... one with the game and the other with "Bob the Builder".
I'll take a raincheck though.

I like the "OVER" here too.
Although I had a two teamer with MD and Over yesterday.
Fla St. tried to take the air out of the ball. They ran the 35 second clock down to 1...even when they were 20 points behind.
I think NC State will run with the Terps. It could be in the 170+ neighborhood IMHO.

Not having 'capped the ACC at all this season, I thought I'd jump on board with this total before my Hawkeyes try and win another game later today....

The total has dropped in the last hour. WSEX has it at 151.5 and MVP at 152.5. Any reasons as to why that may be, fellas?

I'm grabbing the over at 151.5 and will keep any eye out for further movement. If it climbs 3 or 3.5 might try for a middle.....

Looks like the black cat crossed my path when I posted my parlay. MD and Indy both losing. MD's outside shooting was non-existent.

I also lost a prop bet for the Terps winning the tourney. Oh well. I'll get after the late games.

I'll keep my parlays to myself for awhile. :shrug:
I don't want anyone fallowing me down the garden path.
