Just for the record :
in a creative discussion with myself, because ther was absolutley nobody around i upgraded this play to the tonymontana recommendation level.
You get Rojas as a big dog and i would take him straight with fair judges at even money. He is bigger taller stronger younger fresher hungrier and he got screwed so often in his carrier but enough is enough.

i am believe this is a must play at this price.
The question is not if to play it but how much.
Arce is coming up in weight again, that alone is a reason to bet against him if you consider his fighting style. He has to impose his will through power and physical strengh, he cant do this at 118.
Infact he couldnt do it at 115 against good fighters at 108 he was a monster, that is the weight he was 3 years ago. for these small guys thats a lot. look at marquez vs vasquez as a reminder and that was 3 pounds.
Rojas has two inches and is a resume which has road warrior written all over. panama, philippines, Nicaragua he was all over the place and gave everybody a good fight.
Rojas is not going away in this fight, if someone goes it is Arce and that is a real probability, he looked helpless against mijares.

He lost 10 times but was never stopped and always game.

Arce is not a masterful boxer and if Rojas can handle the power he should be very competitive in this fight.
He has 18 kos in 26 wins so he can punch a little and Arce is not hard to find.
The downside is that Rojas has not beaten any really good fighter (in fact he had beaten them but not on the scorcards), but thats the reason you get this price.
Arce is a ****ing celebretiy. so if its close they want their hero to fight another day but just like Gatti you cant solve problems by moving up in weight.

The dogs have been quiet this weekend. But tonight you will hopefully hear one bark in victory.

Punchmaster were you at the weight in ?

Come on Punchy tell me something.

Whats up with weasel btw ?

Too big too strong and lefthanded.

Its always fun talking to myself.

THe more i look into this fight the more my tonymontana radar is going off blink blink.

Nearly every fight he lost was controversial
I checked the Maldonado and the Nieves and
Alvarez fight.
Check this out he was 20 when he fought Alvarez in Nigaragua :
13 March Update: The fight last Saturday night between the young Veracruzano Tomas Rojas and former champion Rosendo Alverez in Nicaruaga must have really been something. After announcing an unpopular split decision win for the hometown Alvarez, the ring was showered with beer, seat cushions, and insults for the inept judges. Rojas dropped Alverez in the 2nd and had him a bloddy mess by the fights conclusion. Appearantly Rojas did quite a number on Alvarez to win over the fans - too bad that didn't include the judges.

i make the following prediction. No way Arce wins this fight fair and square. If Arce wins the judges help him.
This will be the coming out party of Tomas Rojas.
I would love KO prop at a nice price but its not available.
If you havent got down do it now the price is still great at 250.

I dont have much too say about this fight but you seem rather lonely in this thread. ;-)

However, it seems to me that you rather judge him by his record. I'm always a little wary with this kind of "boxrec wagers".

BTW, I'm on Rojas too, but this guy has 10 losses, no big wins, and Arce might well be the judges favorite....

You aren't talking to yourself Tony. Im listening loud and clear. Well maybe not too clear. I'm in Key Largo, getting reaquainted with my ex, having some rum and cokes w/some good Dominican rum. The Brahmer win pays for 3 nights in nice Hotels. Life is good this weekend.

Anywhos, I always thought Arce was a bit overrated. I considered mijares @very good odds and some good cappers were really pushing it. I didn't listen and lost out on a great opportunity. I haven't seen Rojas but I'm taking your word for it. Arce claims he took Mijares lightly and wasn't prepared. From what I saw, Arce couldn't beat mijares if they fought 100 times. I'm going to put a little bit on the dog.

@Punch. I didn't put Brahmer in a parlay w/Pac but I do have a nice downpayment on Pac. I'd be shocked if Barrera can turn back the clock and beat somebody that would have given him fits even at his absolute prime. I think MAB gets retired in this fight. Any updates on the Arce/Rojas fight would be much appreciated!

good to hear that you having a good time.

I can watch that fight via stream live so i will update you.

It is on tvazteca. This mecian station is also available in us. The streamer who i talked into streaming this fight is an american.

If you have highspeed internet this is def a good investment because they stream every boxing and ufc event in england and the us.(ppv included)
its around 20 dollars for 3 month.

I posted my play on Rojas earlier in the week...so I had nothing more to add. I may put a little more on it now that it has reached "tonymontana recommendation level"...lol

Btw...streamtvnow only charges $7 for a 3 month membership and cover the same things + the Germany cards

went to tass.
For example to they stream this fight i would be surprised.
And they didnt cover england when i was there but they were more reliable if you look at downtimes.
fightfan (streamtv) is the guy he is really bringing it he is gigauser at tass.

7 bucks is an absolute steal. I'm getting it this week.

Any and all updates tonight will be much appreciated. I got a little on Sosa tonight to go along w/the dog pic...not much and if I should lose both, I'll still have a small profit on the week.
Good luck everyone!

No, they're not covering tonights fight, luckily I have all the spanish channels, btw I think you're right about the price going up, I think its more like $15 or so...my bad

They do cover all the big German cards including yesterdays, and all the ppv events including ufc here in the states, I haven't had problems but I wasnt aware they cover England. These stream places are saving me thousands a year. I've never heard of this tass place, not much more expensive and I assume they cover both Endland and Germany???

just to get it right per month you pay 6 dollars at tass and 4.8 per month at streamtvnow if you order 3 month period. Or Boxlock has special conditions.
This boxing show is half cmmmercial.
women boxing is on now then sosa.

tass is not streaming german fights i believe.
but they have the english local fights.
but i am really high on that streamer. for example i contacted him two hours ago about this fight and boom it is in the calender that very important for me because these smaller telemundo fights are great for betting.
but maybe streamtvnow is better for you guys because there is alot of boxing in germany too, better fights in england though.
google tvandsportstreams to find it

With the sosa win, I essentially get a freebie bet on rojas. Just read on another forum that mijares picks rojas for the upset. Regardless, I can't get over Arces people taking the fight. He was dominated just a few months ago and close to being stopped. Lets go Rojas!

body shot ko by arce

Shit

Sorry guys

it was a war and the stream was gone alot.

@+275 it was a wise bet. No apologies needed. Had Arce shown any ill effects of the previous fight , he would have lost tonight.

scorecards after 5 rounds 50 -45,50-45, 48-47
all for rojas.
i am surprised that the judge had it so clear for rojas.
he took arces punch to the head no problem but one good body punch turned it all around.

for all i know rojas wasnt even down in his carrier or even badly hurt and then boom.

but everything the same i am all over this bet again maybe i would even bet more.
it feel alot better losing money on a good dog than on a stupid chalk bet like Holt.

How come back in the olden days i never saw this so called liver shot being a factor in the outcome in any fights? Are guys just stronger? Didn't they know about this punch? I watched thousands of them especially on ESPN classics and never saw one fighter lose on this punch. Maybe i just missed them.
