whats your capping style?

i was just wondering how some of you guys and gals like to cap games. Do you prefer strictly numbers?, past game performances, or emotion?

i find in football i have more emotion based plays. in basketball they play to many games you never know when they will give a crap or not. so i tend to go more by the numbers. Just wondering your thoughts on the subject for some interesting convo.

Football is the only one I cap....

Football is the only one I cap....

In football, alot of the times, I look at the most recent performances. That is probably my biggest factor. I try to find a reason to take the underdogs. Home underdogs especially.

I don't like to look at trends because they can be broken in an instant. The NFL is the easiest for me.

In hoops....I don't handicap very often. I do, however play Duke - the points alot, (and I hate them) Every year in the tourney, I play all the 1 and 2 seeds in round 1.

example: texas am has shown singns of life this lately, then they play #4 OU and keep the game within 4pts. so i was happy to take the 10.5 last night.

contrarion (if the consensus is 75% or greater at wagerline/bigguy, fade away big!) and going opposite of 3 point or greater line moves. Conference dogs are always worth a look as well. Other than that, guessing!

Gibber.....did you see that game against OU.......and.....did you see that A&M Baylor game.....last road trip A&M got beat by 52......A&M played out of their asses and OU played absolutely horrid......

also....where did you get 10.5 on that game -- A&M KState.....i saw it at 7 all night......

AM played OU within 4 and kept with Texas the entire game. they got behind at the very end and free throws cost them the cover. i didnt think am would win outright. but i was hoping for a cover.
i got the line at olympic.

also, i am aware of my loss yesterday, i admitt i was totally on the wrong side. the last thing i need is you to remind me. now would you like to contribute to the conversation at hand. this is not what i started the thread for.

chill out dude.....was making the point that if you were to bet on A&M game it certainly woudl not be for them coming on as of late......they looked horrid on their last road trip at Baylor.....losing by 52 is inexcusable....
