Well my story is that parlay I hit that M J posted. Six teams if I remember right. He went big, I went smaller. The take home sum was still around a dime. Hey to some one that plays about 6 parlays a year. None of them 6 teamers. I chit my pants when it hit.
Nolan and the year he had. I will sure as hell do as he says again. Well we might still differ on some O/U, plays. Fletchs 4 dime plays. I said to myself Incrediable.
I know there are others but F B, I do most all my own work. But in college so many to follow and a good tip is Wonderfull.
So my story is I flat out love this place.

I am a very small bettor. Mostly $10 wagers, an occasional $20...to bet $30 requires a monumental act of courage.

Two years ago, I won $450 on a Sat/Sun with all $10 wagers...straight bets, two and three teamers. And, if San Diego's Jeff Graham woulda' caught a game-ending TD pass that went right through his arms, I woulda' won a lot more as I had SD on several 3-teamers. (How many "woulda', coulda', shoulda' stories dya' think there are?....rofl)

BTW, I am quite satisfied betting small. #1, it's all I can afford. #2, win or lose, I'm still able to sleep at night. #3, it also allows me to wager all year long.

it was about 5 years ago. nfl playoffs. 2 games on saturday and 2 games on sunday (it might have been 2 games on sunday and 2 games the next sunday...doesn't matter)

anyway, i played a 4-team par (both sides and both totals) for 500 and HIT! +5000 baby!

I did the same exact thing with the other 2 games and hit that too! another +5000 baby!

10 dimes in 4 games. i think that was my biggest score ever.

johnwise, if you're reading this i did that to dodo and it took him about a month to pay me, but he did pay
biggrin.gif

then he made a rule. max 100 bet on 4-teamers. LOL

MJ,

If I woulda' hit for 5k, I woulda' been elected Mayor and then I woulda' been petitioned to buy new shoes for everyone in town!

10K? You would see signs along the Pa. Turnpike...."buddy for Governer !"

Last football season right around Thanksgiving week I hit about 14 plays in a row going from Monday - Saturday betting on each game, turned 500 into about $6,000-7,000. After doing this I wisely took all the money out of my account and took a few days off......

Maybe again this year, yeah right

My favorite time of the "gambling year" is football season. Thats the time I cap my own games, and usually make pretty big plays.
I'm not one who follows trends and I usually dont bet every game on the board but......
Two seasons ago (NFL), I got this crazy idea for a system. I wondered what would happen if I bet every home team at 1:00 then every away team at 4:00.
I started a seperate acct. to toy with this, placing small wagers on all 16 games, every Sunday.
The first week, I came out ahead, the second week, ahead and the third week, yep, ahead.
After about the 7th week, while gradually increasing my wagers, I was up some decent cash.
By late October, I was betting 250.00 on every game, every sunday using this system.
The week before Thanksgiving, I went 14-1!
The bankroll ballooned!!!!!
By the way...I tried this last season and quit by 4th week......Maybe it only works during the odd years. haha

got 2
a buddy hooked me up to some locals and they were giving lines straight out of a paper so it made talking there money easy, so im looking at the basket ball games and there one -16 points and all the trackers got them at -19 to -20 so i put $2500 on them an a couple hours later they call me back and tell me the paper is messed up and tell me -19 you could tell they were worried. So i still take it and the team wins by 50+ my biggest one game take needless to say i went 1-13 after that and ended up oweing 400

me and a bud payed a service some money for the year and every year they give 2 4game parlays 1 in cfb and nfl. So the weekend they got there cfb i was going to be away for the early games so i tell my bud to put the games in for me $500 a game and $400 for the parlay. I get back and he tells me the games and that they were later so for some reason at the time i didnt like 1 of the games so i call the book and he lets me cut my bets in half and dont you know by the first quarter in all the games all the teams were killing they all won and easily covered. My book loved me, told me any time i wanted to change to lower my bets i could-----the bastard---

Mo.
I have a couple, but niether involves me.

Re: Chasing

One week last fall a freind was down 6k for the week going into Monday night.
He chased it and got well.
I asked why he did that.
He said "I had nothing to loose - I couldn't pay the 6k anyhow!"

Re: golf.

A couple of freinds were working up a bet for a round.
Rick: "You gotta give me 4 a side".
Mike: "I'll give you the four, but I get a throw".
This seemed reasonable, 'cause mike can hit a ball a lot better than anybody can throw one.
They pushed the front.
On the 18th green, Rick had the 4 covered and an easy par putt till Mike picked Rick's ball up and threw it in the water.

Bluegrass!
In my early college days one of my fraternity brothers decides he's gonna make a little extra money on the side and start bookin' bets. His little bizness got so big, he signed on a couple others to help him collect on Tuesdays. Well, a friend of a friend told me that this dipchit didn't realize that the Ivy League games started two hours before any of the other games on Saturdays. Well, needless to say, there were about 10 of us that hammered his ass when the Ivy League games were deep in the 3rd quarter or sometimes even in the 4th. We played for almost six weeks before someone let the cat out of the bag. You talk about someone getting REALLY pissed off! He actually thought we would give him his money back! To this day, people still call him Ivy!
smile.gif

Actually, the funniest part of the story is the fact that we actually lost five games!!! :
