Seriously, when is HBO going to say enough is enough? The guy is flat out incompetent at scoring fights, I mean he is beyond horrible. I know that he is well liked at HBO because he is such a nice guy. I've talked to him before after fights, I know he's a nice guy. But they have to draw the line and say this is business. In my opinion he hurts their credibility he is so bad at scoring fights. A guy will totally dominate a round and he will score it for the other guy. Its like watching a senile guy score a fight. Fight after fight he has an absolutely ridiculous score card.

He is really making HBO look bad in my opinion. They need to man up and let him go.

Actually I think Merchant is great, a dying breed. Sure he can say dumb things just like everyone else does but he doesnt talk out of his ass and tells it like it is. He also just doesnt talk to hear himself speak. He usually asks intelligent questions and has intelligent things to say.

Hes a dying breed of sports reporter.

Well, I find Merchant to be insulting and disrespectful and times. A good example was the questions he asked Marquez post-fight.

I watched Byrd-Ibeaubichi recently, after the fight Merchant asked Byrd what he thought of Ike, and how far he'd go in the division. Byrd briefly answered and then understandably turned attention back to himself, but Merchant cut him off and insisted that he talk more about Ike. That was a real prick move, and Byrd the gentleman responded with humility.

My problem with Lederman is that he rewards aggression regardless if it's effective. I considered playing Katsidis ahead after 3 -170 b/c of that, but there's a chance Kat takes it slow to feel out Casa early, so I'm staying away.

I agree Led is inept but I also think he's indicative of judging on the whole in the business. It's very subjective. Teddy Atlas has some pretty odd scoring at times as well.

Lamp gets my vote for the axe. That guy annoys the sht out of me. Give the guy a set of pom poms and a skirt. I know many don't care for the guy but I think Max does a prty decnt job. He can give an analysis about as good as anyone and admits when he's wrong. He does a great interview as well...not afraid to ask the questions fans want to hear.

I also considered kat ahead after 3 -170. I'll be surprised if Led doesn't have Gati...ummm Kat ahead after 3.

"the bunker"
and teddy atlas last night....asking vera,"what would`ve happened if lee had thrown some hooks after those straight lefts he hit you with?"...

i mean,wtf?....the guy just ate one hundred left hands...took an enormous amount of punishment...and the last time i checked, lee wasn`t holding his dick with his right hand....

an enormous upset of a highly rated prospect...the guy had to go through hell to get the win...he`s a limited fighter who`ll probably never see this type of limelight again....

and teddy, because he harped on the right hook all night, had to be the turd in the punchbowl....

i like teddy alot......but,it`s not about him...he needs to remember that...

Yeah, Teddys scorecards are horrible also, so are the morons who do Showbox. But HBO sets the bar, Lederman is just flat out incompetent.

As for Lampley he has a lot of flaws but so does every boxing commentator. What I love about Lampley is his natural ability to make the fight exciting with his commentary. I actually thought he did a horrible job of that in the Diaz vs. Campbell fight but normally he does a great job of making the fight exciting all with his tone and inflection.

Max is just an airhead but he's getting better.

I like Merchant the most because he doesn't say very much.

Letterman in my opinion scores the last 30 seconds of the fight. No matter what you do the first 230 forget about it.

How about Jim Ross?

I'm obviously a huge fan, but he could be a little more objective. Seems like he has a bias towards certain fighters and thats something we don't need in this great sport. He also seems to be a real "know it all"....like he knows who's gonna win the fight before it starts or something

Btw, who won the big "fight"....and who the fvck is Jim Ross?

about time you asked.

By the way the fight wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. A few of Mayweathers handlers got a little roughed up. Mayweather had to resort to brass knuckle. Got to hand it to Floyd tho he took a big chop to the chest. Big show even tried to quiet the crowd before he did it lol. I bet thaty mark is still on Floyds chest. Now for Jim Ross lol
