On the course!
I guess some of you will figure I am spouting "sour grapes", but I am not.

I lost by playing the Packers today. I can live with that. What I can't stand, is this damned "defensive minded" coaching.

I sat with my dad watching this game, and I started bitching as the Packers drove down the field with about 8:00 left, and a 13 point lead. They got a first down somewhere near the Detroit 20 yard line. Then it was run for nothing, run for a loss, and run on 3rd and 15 for a couple yards.

I ask you this:

At what point do these coaches figure the game is "out of reach" by the other team?

Obviously, that dink Sherman figures it's with 13 points, and a field goal attempt, and 8:00 to go!

PLAY THE FUHGIN GAME!

I am at least thankful today that my favorite team got a win!

Now, the way I see it, and saw it at the time, you try for a pass, and a 1st down on 3rd and long from the Detroit 20ish yard line. You need that cushion of points in this league. How many comebacks do we need to see each week, before coaches start letting their team play ball?

Stick the 'clock management', the 'prevent defense', and the rest of the 'try not to lose' plays in the dumpster!

Add that idiot Campo to the list.....You wouldn't want to do a 2pt conversion, huh?

Dumb fuk!

If you had Denver and Green Bay today, you were screwed......if you had the other two mutts, well good for you!

ADD MIKE MARTZ TO THE GROUP. HE RUNS UP THE SCORE AGAINST EVERYBODY HE CAN. THEN HE TAKES A KNEE AGAINST THE PATS SUNDAY NIGHT. I GUESS HE WENT SOFT ON US. EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID AND THE MARTZ CALL MAKES IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT TO CAP.

the sunday night game was OVER when he took a knee....quite a bit different then running up the score during the game, which apparently STL could not against the pats D.

Campo is an idiot. There was NO reason not to go for 2. If they missed they still are down by two scores.....I'm grateful for the backdoor cover, but aren't coaches supposed to coach to win?????

YOUR PROBABLY RIGHT ABOUT THE GAME BEING OVER LATE. I REMEMBER NOW THE PATS DEFENSE COULDNT KEEP THE RAMS FROM GETTING FIRST DOWN AFTER FIRST DOWN ON THE LAST DRIVE. ENABLING THE RAMS TO RUN OUT THE LAST MINUTE AND A HALF BY TAKING A KNEE 3X. HAD THE PATS D HELD THE RAMS WOULD OF HAD TO PUNT OR KICK A FG.

Hell, why blame Campo for any decisions that are made on the field. I assume Jerry Jones was probably behind the bonehead decision to not go for 2 points.

After all, Jones is behind every other bonehead move made by this franchise so why not this one as well.

Coaching decisions are often unfathomable. If I owned the Cowboys, I would fire Campo tonite. If neither he nor his coaches knew they needed to go for two, none should be coaching at the professional level. If his coaches and guys upstairs told him to go for two and he ignored them, he should be the scapegoat. A totally unbelievable mess.

Agree also that Shanahan, normally reasonably intelligent, had no reason to throw the ball three consecutive times to run only 15-20 seconds off the clock in a situation where they could have run off a few minutes.

But reading this thread, I see one complaint against a coach for running the ball three times and another complaint for a coach throwing the ball three times, so...I guess it all depends on what side you took. Needless to say, both decisions were faulty, at best.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe Jones called this from the sideline. That idiot Campo is just a puppet anyway.

Its possible the way Jones runs that team. I bet Jones is also responsible for LEaf at QB decision. If Campo aint fired then Jones was in on it.
