Viewing seats will be at a premium ANYWHERE you go, you will probably need to arrive very early.
There are better options downtown, its not fancy but the California converts an upstairs ball room into a good inexpensive experience.
The California has good gambling and the second floor is connected by walkway to the Main Street casino, which IMHO has the best craps and table games experience in town.
The LVH, close by, I hear has theater seating pretty cheap.
A good distance away is the very spacious Aliante Resort HUGE sports book seating area, a ball room viewing area and last year they had prime rib sliders for $5.00 Went there last year and arrived 4 hour before kick and saved very prime seats for my visiting friends and it was pretty much smoke free.
You are a stones throw from what was the Sahara, now SLS, this is their first superbowl; it may be not as popular and crowded.
good luck with your trip....
