I am trying to figure out which one is better.

Would you rather have a $500 'cash' bonus, or a $1,000 'free play' bonus?

I am stumped.........any opinions?

Thanks.

Depends on how good you are...seriously

With the free play bonus, they credit your account with any winnings made using the 1,000. So if you hit 50% of your plays (at -110) you would get a $450 bonus. Obviously if you hit higher or lower than 50% the bonus increases or decreases accordingly.

With the cash bonus you get the $500 regardless, BUT there will be a 5X or 10X rollover of the deposit amount before you can withdrawal the cash. At least with the free play bonus, you have access to the cash once you have bet the 1,000.

One thing to remember about free play or match play bonus'...Never play anything over -110 or -120 as only the amount won is added to your account while the full wager amount is deducted from the bonus.

Whenever I receive a free play bonus, I use it for underdogs only, and play the favorites with my regular account.

Hope this helps

OK
freeplay, agree that free play is worth about 1/2 of cash. But how you use the free play, fav or dog doesn't matter. If you play a big fav, you win less more often, dog you more less often. turk

Thanks guys.

I think I am leaning towards the larger 'free play' bonus for the simple fact that once I have won the money, I can withdraw it right away. That whole rollover thing sucks.

Box, you are right, it really depends on how good you are. I understand what you are saying about not playing a favorite over -110.

However, if I play a favorite at -200 with the 'freeplay' bonus og $1,000 and I win, then I have won the $500, and I can withdraw it right away.

That seems like a better option than taking the $500 'cash' bonus and having to win on games that are -110.

That is the way I look at it. Just wanted to hear what others had to say.

Thanks again for the replies, I appreciate it.

My suggestion Play a dog in any sport around +250 bet that to win $2500. Do this with your free play.

You can Probably get the fav somewhere else for -300 or better. Bet the fav for 1800-2100.

If you bet the 2100 on the fav you make $700 if the fav wins and $400 if the dog wins.

You can obviously adjust your bet to match up with your desired return. The bigger the dog you bet the better your return. You just have to have enough at another book to cover you.
