Former Alabama running back Kerry Goode, who played for the Crimson Tide in the 1980s, claims he was harassed by Tennessee fans after this past weekend's game in Knoxville.

Goode, who's confined to a wheelchair with ALS, was in Neyland Stadium supporting his son Roman — a member of the Tennessee staff.

"I don't advocate violence but I had someone threw their drink all over me at the end of the game," he wrote on his Facebook page. ""I don't know if it was meant for me or my family because we were sitting in the Tennessee section with Bama gear on. But the tickets were compliments of my son Roman who's on the Tennessee staff. A big 'Thank You' to the usher who escorted us out."

Goode logged 1,350 yards and six rushing touchdowns during his time with the Crimson Tide from 1983-87.

............... Posted in a neighborhood online news ................

Sorry you lost your money.

It doesnt always end like thst. When my youngest daughter was 6, we stopped at Dollar General on Rosebud area , and with her older brother and sister. We were just there to let the kids pick out some thing cheap. I told them not to spend too much. To my surprise, my youngest came up to me with a wad of cash she found on the floor and told me we didn't have to worry about what we spent. Turns out it was $600. I immediately told her we couldn't keep it and we needed to find the store manager. We left the money with him. He put it in an envelope with our name on it. If it wasn't claimed we would get it back. Luckily the owner did make it up to the manager to see if anyone had found it and turned it in. Obviously they were thrilled it was turned it. Turns out it was a disabled women in a wheelchair and that was her entire months social security money for food and necessities. They did give my daughter $20. I didn't want to take it but she and her companion insisted. I'm so glad I raised my kids right.

fans can get rude and unruly when inebriated..:sadwave:

hey free, can't we all from time to time

I was thinking that if it were me and I wore the bama gear , I would make it known all around that my son worked with Tenn team . But then I would keep my yapper shut and not cheer too loud. Maybe he said some offensive things to the Tenn fans.

On the course!
In general, I think people in this Country have no respect for others. Until they get punched in the face, they won't change.

It's HIS fault.

that makes no sense boss.

When you have a paid ticket you should be able to wear your gear and not get accosted.

damn dude is in a wheelchair . Its beyond my how anyone could throw a beer on him and make him wear it home.

Its pure hate me thinks.

That's how it is. Don't tell me he didn't think that something might happen even if it was just heckling.

Heckling is one thing. Assaulting someone is another.
Sports fans have devolved into assholes in many instances.
