Have seen Towns name mentioned on ESPN so he'll be #1 because ESPN knows everything. Sorry, but if I'm picking, it's a no-brainer on Okafor. Towns will also be a stud, but I see more upside with Okafor. He has huge hands, bigger frame, realize Towns college stats are not the greatest do to playing on a team which probably could have beaten the Knicks in a best of 3 series, especially if 2 of the games were in Lexington (wish I could say I was joking, but seriously, KY was lethal at home). Would have been fun to watch anyways and hate peeps who say it's impossible for college kids to beat a HORRIBLE pro team because I disagree. It depends on the day and the reason why they are playing, but it didn't happen so we're all guessing.
Anyway, who would you take #1? I like Okafor far more long-term. He's not Anthony Davis athletic wise, but neither is Towns or hardly anyone in the NBA. However, they're both solid NBA big men for many years IMHO. At worst, they're the next 15/9 guys at power forward/center, or 4/5 for more traditional peeps, but I like both, but would take Okafor without question. He's a back-to-the-basket beast and reminds me a little of Shaq without the power yet... however he's freaking a kid, give him a minute. He's going to be one of the best Centers in the NBA before he's done. Minnesota, draft this young beast!!!!
