I have one son who is age 29 , a step son that just turned 13. Two daughters 22 and 20. Both Son and step son do not give me any grief, yet.......my two daughters are so full of frickin drama and feel that everything is a frickin emergency? I listen to the voice mail and hear OMG Dad. Has the axium of the earth turned, or did our fore fathers have it right?
Is it just me, or are women out of control? Is it my responsibility to come to there rescue? I hear an ATM buzzing in my head every time they call. Am I alone in this or is this normal:shrug:
I have really tried to cut them off, yet, I have the heart strings pulling. am I just a pushover:shrug:
My worst fear is that they will want to move back home, which they have each mentioned.:0074

I agree women are drama queens and boys/men are not, unless they are gay:142smilie

I kind of have the opposite problem, my daughter who is 18 {and will be graduating from high school in two months} is set in her plans for her future. She's very quiet, is always upbeat but with a touch of sarcasm {thanks to her father no doubt} and she is a daddy's girl. On the other hand, my son is 21, already dropped out of college, lives at home and has no sense of direction. His motto is "Genius at birth, slacker by choice". For someone like me who's worked since the age of ten, this is problematic. IMO you can't beat yourself up about it, stick to your guns about your rules and do your best for them. That's all you can do...

Not the case, all-round.
People are different and their different experiences will give them different values, what with some small determinents based on sex.
Likely sounds redundant, but I'm just suggesting that you shouldn't read too much into the varrying communications, based on sex alone.
Your son is older and that will play a small factor.
Everything will play a small factor.
Is the shit really that different, or does you son just have more of a set station in life so that he can deal with whatever matters come along?
Good contra by Chef K. Just as an example of how (likely, undoubtably) different circumstances can bring out different personalities.

I'll be 43, soon, and my 3-years-older sister is way more responsible than me, by most regards. Smarter?...fuck, no (by at least several opinions). Less stressed, paranoid or distracted by the subtle (or otherwise) goofiness within existence?...certainly not.
Patience is a virtue.
Virtuosity is in the eye of the beholder.

Enjoy your family life for whatever it is, regardless.
Love and be loved, as long as you can.

just my o's

peace, bro

Where it is real F ing COLD
Pics please, I maybe in the market. All kidding aside, I really think women are more nuts than men. This is coming from a nurse who has spent many days working around women. Just do not think like men.

Mine aren't as old as urs, but my 12 year old son has been way harder than my 15 year old daughter. She has plenty of drama, yes, but that doesn't seem to bother me.

yo bud, once you have a son you are a father... once you have a daughter you are DADDY :0074

when my wife became pregnant, i was the happiest man in the world. I started picturing my son playing football like his old man and becoming a honor student and gettin scholarships and playing at a much bigger school then i did. I had all kinds of thuoghts abuot taking him hunting with me and him gettin his first deer. I had abuot 10 boy names picked out that i liked and all things i thought about were revolved around having a little boy.

then we found out we were having a girl. changed my dreams a little bit. all of that said, i couldnt be happier. I am so happy we had a girl. this quote says it best, I am a Daddy now to this beautiful little girl. :0074

dont get me wrong, i still want a boy next, but i couldnt of asked for a better situation then what i am in. nothing in this world compares to the love i have for this little girl. she is my world. something about having your own little princess is amazing and for those of you who have baby girls you know what im saying.

she is only 16 months old, so i know i have a lot to learn, and i know im probably in for a lot when it comes to cars, drinking, and BOYS, but nothin in this world is better then that little girl.

this quote really says it all :toast: good work dunclock
