because it occurred before the last 2 minutes of the game.

it evened out the non-call on Lyles flagrant foul anyway..

the severity of any foul can be reviewed at any time during a game.

so as to apply the proper penalty.

Wisc. should have been awarded to free throws even though it was a non-shooting foul .

I had no money on this Kentucky game but the review was horrible in judgment..

as bad as it was the non-call on the shot clock violation as well was horrible ..

it did even the scales to some degree.

They did review it, and even though it CLEARLY showed him smacking this kid in the face, the refs saw nothing!

Things evened out. Obvious flagrant 1 that wasn't called was evened out by the bucket after the shot clock expired. The phantom foul on the missed layup was neutralized by the foul that was called on Kaminsky when he clearly got all ball reaching around for the steal. The difference was wisky hit their free throws.

There were a ton of bad or missed calls by the refs last night, not sure if it made a difference as it seemed to go against both squads. And it was throughout the game too, there was the non call on Koenig coming in from out of bounds to score a basket without establishing himself on the court and touching the ball comes to mind.

Kentucky had a 4 point lead w/6:36 left..

for Wisconsin to hold the Wildcats without a field goal from the 6:36 mark until 56 seconds remained will go down as perhaps the greatest stretch of defense ever for a team that relies far more on its offense.

all aided by Cal who went back to what had worked for the team in the past..

kill all but 10 seconds on the shot clock and let the guards control the game..

it backfired big time..

still one of the best college games I have even seen.

including the 1974 upset BY Notre Dame vs UCLA

and UCLA /HOUSTON in yonder years.
