why do all the police brutality tapes start in "mid fracas"?

why do all these police brutality tapes never seem to show the action that prompts cops to get rough???i understand that someone can`t be standing there to catch the cause of the confrontation,but,it seems that the result is always the only thing shown.....
and,why the hell can`t some people follow directions from a cop?rodney king wouldn`t stay down,i just saw another one with a woman fighting a cop in a station house....i`ve been locked up a few times(as i`m sure a lot of us have ),but,the only time i ever got roughed up was when i tried to elude the cops as a kid.....i jumped out of a patrol car(was drinking on the street),the cop threw his night stick at me(it just missed my head) and when they caught me i was roughed up a bit(they leaned me over the back of the paddy wagon,lifted my legs up and slid me in on my face-those metal grated floors messed my face up pretty good)....but,i desrved it....every other encounter with the police was cordial(even when i got locked up)because i cooperated and did what i was told....any moron that eludes or fights with the police,gets what he deserves.....now there are politicos pushing to stop police pursuits because they are to dangerous....that`s when we have anarchy in this country.....just do what the cops ask of you.....keep your mouth shut....if you are in the right you`ll be fine....if you f--ked up,tough,it`s on you.

GW, FWIW I totally agree w/ your view. I have also been on ride-alongs w/ the police in my younger days,i.e., the back seat , but I deserved to be treated according to my actions. Of course I am not saying that the Cops are always in the right, but seems like in every videotaped instance there is a catch, such as speeding, suspended license, etc., followed by confrontations...My advice is just Shut the Fuhk Up and Do what You are Told. Go on Damage Control mode. I think this topic is like Religion & Politics- but hey, I live a stone's throw from Quartz Hill where the two girls were kidnapped@ gunpoint. Ratliff had already stolen a car from Las Vegas, was facing 3 strikes and shouldn't have been out on the streets to begin with if I remember the facts. At any rate the media is now questioning whether the Police reacted too quickly when they shot him, because the girls were in the back seat. Hate to think of what would have happened had they have waited...thats my take.
