Why does a team (Qunnipac) shoot a 3 pointer with 12 seconds left in a tie game?

And the shot clock off? Wtf is wrong with these kids. Take the last shot. If you miss goto ot. Instead they take a 3 pointer when they are tied and of course miss and and then lose on a last second shot. Fucking unbelievable how stupid these kids are. Quinnipac was a 9 point favorite at home- up 14 at half- and lose 72-70. Had them on the ml in a 9 team parlay. My only fucking loss.
Shit like this makes me to not want to gamble. Hope this loss stings for them. Maybe someone - Iike their equally stupid coach- can sit them down and explain how you take the last shot. Fucking idiots.

Or college teams continually thinking all they need to do is play defense when up 3 and under 10 seconds left.....and 100% of the time all 5 defenders are INSIDE the 3 point line; and inevitably the opponent hits a three to tie and force OT.......oh, even worse the other team was either not in the bonus or only shooting 1-1

All wisc had to do was foul and theyd have won the game already....hell; when they didn't foul initially they had a chance to foul under 2 seconds before an inbounds pass not even allowing a shot attempt
