WHY GO FOR 2???

why the hell did miami go for 2, only 5 seconds left no way oakland kicks a field goal

they made it and i had miami -1 but cant believe my eyes they were going for 2

Oakland could have gotten a long kickoff return into Miami territory and then a Miami penalty such as a late hit or whatever and Oakland would have gotten the chance for a field goal as the game cannot end on a defensive penalty. A long shot yes, but still a shot and that's why Miami went for two.

Regardless of time, a no-brainer to go for two at that point. No way it could hurt them.

It couldn't hurt them???? Try a turnover and a runback by the Raiders to win the game! Going for the extra point is less risky. . . I didn't have money on this game at all, but couldn't believe the Phins were going for 2 when they had the game locked up. . .

No such rule in the pros BearDownAz. If Oakland intercepts, then the play is simply over. In college football yes, they can run it the length of the field for points, but not in the pros.

An easy one to answer. First of all all of us knows that they dont give a F*** if they cover or dont (at least I wanna think that). Miami were winning by 1 if they kick the extra point the lead is 2. I know the game was close to a lock for miami, but anyway you need to go for the 2 so you can have the 3 points lead. With that amount of time it is the same to have a 1 or 2 points lead, but with 3 points at least you go to OT in case something strange happen.

guess tigers philosophy is more logic. they really had nothing to lose. i was on the thinking that they wanted to win by more for the margin of victory tie-breaker,but was thinking a extra point was alot easier and made more sense,but going for 2 was the wtg!
