I have been playing with Pinnacle for a while but am sick of the way they have been making changes that are b.s. in my opinion. Two major things have made me w/draw my account there.

1. No longer allowing same game parlays. Complete bullshit, yes i know they limit them because they have better odds because they are correlated. But come on books make enough money it's ridiculous to not allow these types of parlays.

2. Crap lines. yes i know pinnacle is low juice blah blah blah. But take tonight for example. I wanted to take UVA in the 2nd half. Pinnacle gave me 1 option. UVA +1 at MINUS -127. No PICK, nothing. Complete scalping if you ask me. They force you into laying a stupid amount of juice to make a play without either adjusting the line or offering a ML line.

So...anyone have any other books they recommend?

personally, would think in your situation that you described for 1/2 time lines, you might want a number which will be equated with the juice of pinnacle so would recommend betcris/olympic/...i would keep that pinnacle account open though for advantages....off those #'s though.

also would like to suggest to follow the livelines moves of the vip group of books for a couple of days when "signed in-live" on the livelines page to see if that is what you prefer...

i think you would like betgameday, based on what youre saying. they do a good job of putting up 2h sides/totals on all games (college included) and they dont fu/ck with juice too much. you can parlay everything there, nothing is restricted. payouts are reliable too. thats my best recommendation for what youre looking for. theyre one of a small handful i will trust and like enough to refer people to. i agree about pinnacle -- reduced juice is nice, but not if they heavily juice one side with no alternative

FWIW

Pulling out after last nights debacle in Seattle. Lost the side & UPSing an wind up alarm clock to all NFL Replay officials to wake them up before the final two minutes of both the Sunday Nite and Monday Night games. (At least I split with the OVER.) I would stick with Pinnacle also.

BUT that said Put in all three withdrawal requests bang, bang, bang and WSEX pumped my Netteller the quickest. I will update with second and third place as it occurs.

1. WSEX
2.
3.

Got to give props where they are due,......

I am forced to change my ratings as ONCE I GOT MY ACT together and requested the correct amount in the correct way ALL three were equally fast!

AAA. WSEX

AAA. PINNACLE

AAA. HOLLYWOOD

Good job all three

If you don't feel comfortable at a book, take some time off. Even though Pinnacle has low juice, sometimes the bad feeling you get from them can throw you off. I believe gamblers do their best for the most part when in a comfortable environment.

The list of books here are great but here are a couple of other sponsors I would add...

CRIS is great for early openers, large limits and a nice loyalty program. They have high fees for withdrawls, but free Instacash deposits via Neteller. This is my favorite book.

Wagerstreet has a super payment system for smaller bettors. You do have to keep your money in for 30 days, but their bonus system is very nice.

SportsInterAction has always been a good book to me. I haven't played there in almost a year, but whenever I deposit there I get paid within a reasonable amount of time.

As non-sponsors go, BoDog is great for having the best payment system and bonus plan around. They are a low limit book and there are a lot of complaints about them being shady (ask Jack), but they have always been good to me. I play there on occasion.

Last note is that I just got a Treo (cellphone/PDA) and you can get some great software from CRIS and BetWWTS. It allows you to place bets and check your account history without having to open up a web browser. Makes betting faster, easier and a lot more convenient. If you use a PDA or a cellphone that works like a PDA as well, I'd highly recommend those two books just for the convenience.

Geno,

What is your experience with Hollywood? Looking for another reduced-juice out.

Wasn't there very long this was my first year with them. Posted up small and lost to zero, posted up again and turned a small profit. Customer service was concise and understanding and listened to me, lines did not jump frantically like some shops and occasionally they did seem to have an opinionated different number. I hate any time out and theirs seems to be quicker than some I have used. I am a point buyer and they make that easy which I like however only up to one full point. Not a big deal for most players I am sure. Select to wager confirm is one page more than I like. But all in all, they will be an one of three or four options when I get back in the game. :)

PS I found most of my action going to Hollywood and Pinnacle of the above three when shopping.

Hollywood waits to see which side you like and then they decide if they want to change the line on you or not, its called an approval que. Sometimes as long as 30 seconds.

I've been seeing the same thing lately. Tried a same game parlay several weeks ago and it didn't go through. Not much of a parlay guy, but was surprised at that.
Also the 2nd H lines are ridiculous. I've seen a -1 (-140) a Pinnacle while a -2 or -2.5 elsewhere at -110. It's just ridiculous. Juice will kill you. And most likely if you lose the bet you'll lose it a -1 or at -2 or -3 also. Rather pay regular juice, but each case is different.
Olympic lines aren't great but they might move the number instead of juicing it up. There may be others that offer 2H lines on almost everything, but some of the more Mickey mouse outfits only offer 2H lines on big games, TV games, etc.

Your Problem is ur dealing w/the sharpest book on the web, my suggestion is leave a little in the book and put money in olympic and 5 dimes.

Especially if u r like me and play alot of halftime lines. You have to have more than one book to get the best line.

5dimes and olympic has halftimes on every game no matter what time it is on.. Alot of the books cut u off for the nite on the late games, gameday used to do that. And my dealing w/chris nice book but their system is always crashed, if u don't have their phone number u will never get a bet in. I have money over their need to withdraw it have wagered w/them in over a month. Most of your other books just cover big tv games. Wsex is a good book also but don't like their pulldown wager system, where u can't just bet what u want to bet..

Hope that helps, have used most books on here one time or another... keep pinny and use them as a guide, they usually know the outcomes...
