I think line will increase. Seems everybody here are on giants. There are couple good points you have raised.
? Giants are at home.
? Lost to STL only by a point.
? The Giants have won the last nine meetings in this NFC East rivalry.
? The Giants have limited the opposition to 15 or fewer points and fewer than 100 yards rushing in four straight games and have totaled four or more sacks in three straight games.
? New York has won four straight home games dating back to ?00 (6 straight, including playoffs).
(last 3 is from espn)
? philly hasn't played very well last couple weeks.
? Philly Lost SU against a 14 point dog.

Why are they only favored by 3? Who likes Philly? With this kind of line does Vegas expect public to bet for Giants or Philly?

On the course!
A lot of favored teams (almost all!) got smoked like a Christmas ham this week!

This is a rivalry, much like the Packer/Viking game.....the Browns/Ravens.....New England/Indy

I am not sold on either side, and took a tease of Philly to the over for a very small amount.

This game, to me, is a "wait for halftime" play.

interesting question. while some of us perceive the line should be in the 4-5 range, and taking the theory?? that more money is bet on ny teams, it absolutely makes no sense. the strong trend between these two teams is more than enough for me.

a let down "a'la green bay"? i doubt it. not the same circumstances. a small teaser for me with the giants and over.

cow is a perennial dog player, now in ecstasy. i.e., well, he is choosing the dog trend and the half point. maybe 3.5 makes sense, but i still say giants -3 is the play if you must. otherwise enjoy the game.

Its quite simple really...the public still does not the respect the Giants as a good team and the books have to compensate for that.

Also, the Giants dont have a great history on MNF... but if you look at those stats you notice that less then 30% of those games were played at home. And many of the Giants monday night games in the 90's were played against teams like Dallas and the 49ers when those two were always winning superbowls. And it was a similar situation earlier this year when the Giants had to go to Denver on opening night and didnt stand a chance...even though that game was tied late in the third quarter.

Add to that the Giants by all rights should have beaten the Rams last week and will be more than a little ticked off and looking for blood against their favorite rival. The Giants defense all but dominated the "Greatest Show on Earth" in the dome...I just dont see how the Eagles are gonna do anything against them in New York.

I gotta go with the better team and the wrongly deflated line...
Giants -3 is the only play here.

Do we all forget that the Eagles lost a heart-breaker to the same St. Louis Rams while Marshall Faulk went down with an injury in the Giants game.

The Eagles shut down the SHOW just as the Giants did two weeks ago.

Warner 28 for 42 - 308 passing yards in OT
Faulk 20 for 72 rushing yards
