I dont really see any reason why they cant win it all.......They are playing good right now....they easily could have beaten Duke 3 times....Any thoughts??

You can't question their talent....but...can they play 4 more games without imploding. They barely got by George Mason. They could have easily lost that game, turnover after turnover, plus GM has their way inside. Can Baxter stay out of foul trouble PLUS contain Boumtje, Sweetney, and even Scruggs? I guess nothing Maryland does from here out would suprise me. I won't touch this game. I can see your reasons for liking them though.

George Mason was not an easy out.

Gm had the "Conference Player of the Year" for 3 years in a row.

I forget his name, but he was good.

Am thinking of playing GEORGETOWN [+9]. I am remembering NOLAN's analysis of the George Mason game, on which I played and won GMU +17.

NOLAN lives in DC area, and stated that the players from Maryland and George Mason played summer ball together and summer camps, etc, and were therefore familiar with each other. The point being GMU was not going to be intimidated by UM. Turned out to be a great game.

Perhaps the same reasoning holds true for the other DC area school [G'town], and that they will not be intimidated by UM either.

I am not sure the coaching desn't favor G'town too. My son goes to UM, and I hope they win, but my feeling on this game is take the points. Perhaps if Nolan reads this he can elucidate. Do the players of these teams hang in the summer??

Braswell and Dixon are close friends. Dixon lived with braswell family after his mother's death.

Teams are very familiar with each other and both like to play similiar styles. Hoyas get after you more on defensive end while maryland has better offensive skill players.

Gtown has height and is a more physical squad.

maryland is a much better FT shooting team, up around 75% while Gtown barely hits at a 60% pace.

9 points is too much to give up here. I'll back georgetown.
