just checked w/yahoo, and this is what they got!

The Broncos (8-7) are eliminated from playoff contention, but it didn't show on the field or in the stands at the final home game of their first season at Invesco Field. Only about 5,000 fans didn't use their tickets, and the stands shook with a passion Denver's crowd has rarely shown this season.

ok, thanks. i think i have it down now. the only way my ravens can be eliminated is to lose and seattle win and jets win, right? but, if the jets lose too, the ravens kick them out even if we lose. so the ravens have 3 ways to get in. win, sea lose, jets lose.

this from yahoo!

The Seahawks (8-7), winning for the first time in four road games, can clinch a playoff spot with a win at home against Kansas City next Sunday and a loss by the New York Jets or Baltimore Ravens. The Jets and Ravens both lost this weekend.

is it possible to determine that before complete seeding is set?? i'm fairly sure they can't have a 1st game at home, but with a win, and an additional upset somewhere, i would think a second home game would be possible??

ugh, i hate trying to figure out this playoff crap!!!

(but jack, how dare you come in here talking about the ravens having a way NOT to make the playoffs when i already have the superbowl matchup set in my head....LOL)

but once everything is set, isn't it possible with all things going right that they could get a 2nd game at home, or can't they do any better than a 6 seed? (i'm thinking they would have a 5, but sometimes my thinking is off on this stuff

they would be a 5 seed if the jets get in and a 5 seed if the jets lose and sea lose and a 6 seed if sea gets in only with a jets loss and bal loss and sea win.

i guess the only shot at the ravens hosting a playoff game would be the afc championship game vs. either the jets or the seahawks.

i think there would be a lot of disappointed fans with that scenerio, huh? not me!
