I don't get it....

I don't get it....

Georgia Tech 'folded' against a mediocre Wake Forest team...at home, no less. What makes anyone think they will beat a decent Maryland team at Maryland. West Virginia didn't 'fold' against Maryland. They had their asses handed to them. IMMHO

Below is the play-by-play for the game from the 5:20 mark through 0:10 of the first quarter when the game went from 7 to 0 to 28 to 0. WVa never had a chance after that. This is just a game that got out of hand and is not a reflection of better things to come for the Terrapins.

Maryland at 05:20

1-10 at MARY 27 Josh Allen (MARY) rushed up the middle for 3 yards.
2-7 at MARY 30 Josh Allen (MARY) rushed up the middle for a 70 yard touchdown.
Extra point by Nick Novak (MARY) is good.

West Virginia at 03:48
Terrapins kickoff, touchback by Mountaineers.
West Virginia at 03:41
1-10 at WVU 20 Television timeout; 03:41 remaining 1st quarter
1-10 at WVU 20 Avon Cobourne (WVU) rushed up the middle for 5 yards.
2-5 at WVU 25 Avon Cobourne (WVU) rushed up the middle for no gain.
3-5 at WVU 25 Rasheed Marshall (WVU) pass left side intercepted by Madieu Williams (MARY). Returned for no gain.
Maryland at 02:29
1-10 at WVU 45 Television timeout; 02:29 remaining 1st quarter
1-10 at WVU 45 Scott McBrien (MARY) pass right side complete to Jafar Williams (MARY) for a 45 yard touchdown.
Extra point by Nick Novak (MARY) is good.

West Virginia at 02:20
Kickoff returned by Phil Braxton (WVU) for 24 yards.
West Virginia at 02:14
1-10 at WVU 18 Rasheed Marshall (WVU) rushed left side for 4 yards.
2-6 at WVU 22 Phil Braxton (WVU) rushed left side for 13 yards.
1-10 at WVU 35 Quincy Wilson (WVU) rushed left side for 2 yards.
2-8 at WVU 36 Avon Cobourne (WVU) rushed up the middle for 1 yard.
3-7 at WVU 37 Rasheed Marshall (WVU) pass incomplete to the left side.

West Virginia at 00:29
4-7 at MARY 20 Punt by Mark Fazzolari (WVU) returned 80 yards by Steve Suter (MARY) for a touchdown.
Extra point by Nick Novak (MARY) is good.

Maryland's wins over Eastern Michigan, Akron, Wofford and West Virginia don't mean as much to me as GaTech's performance this season against their schedule. I really like the Yellow Jackets chances in this one.

i can't get watching the carolina/tech game out of my mind. tech's incompetent offense was lucky to score 21 against a tarheel defense that couldn't tackle me or my wife. how chan gailey became known as an offensive wunderkind is a mystery to me. his teams' offenses have been atrocious for as long as i can remember. carolina's speed is mediocre at best, yet they ran down every tech ballcarrier only to miss the tackle once they got there. terps have way more speed and are much better tacklers. it will take tech's best effort of the year to win this game. all that being said, i'll lay off the side tonight as all of modern civilization appears to be on the terps. think i'll just stick with a moderate play on the under.

lost badly vs the only good teams they played this year and they start only 5 seniors.....they have found what looks to be a monster in freshman rb josh allen.....gt `s qb suggs couldn`t cut it at tennessee and i don`t like him at g tech(they are used to having playmakers at qb)....and they were way to dependent on tony hollings before he went down......g tech may be a little better personnel wise but that appears to be somewhat offset by the venue.....i think the young terps get better under freidgen every game....looks to me like gt is on somewhat of a downward spiral with the loss of hollings.....
