Why will LSU cover/ Why will Texas cover?

I am a huge LSU fan and have been to every home game this year and seen most of the away games. I do not like LSU in this spot, here's why-

1. We have no true point guard and are the worst 3 point shooting team ever to make it this deep in the tourney.

2. If Big Baby and Tyrus get in foul trouble- which they will, we have NO BENCH DEPTH. When I say no bench depth I mean it. I played a pick up game against Ben Voogd and frieken schooled his as_. He is a great passer but I had a triple double on him and I am a slow whitee who can't jump.

3. I am considering playing Texas Large. My hope being an LSU win is worth a $1,000 to me, it really is. If Texas wins and does not cover I would be devistated! Remember laying 3 this time of the year is like asking me if you can sleep with my wife. Please help with your analysis!

I think you right that laying 3 this time of year is dangerous, but these games have been so damn close, that I thought 3 was actually a little high. Uconn was -6 last night and I thought for sure they would cover, they pushed but shouldnt have even won that game. Personally I think LSU dream season is over with, Big Baby now has Alridge standing in his way and its going to be a whole different ball game. Texas by 5 in a low scoring affair, gl to whatever you play!

I agree this will be a low scoring affair.
Not really sure what to think about the spread.
LSU athletic ability will give Texas some issues. Texas better get LSU in foul trouble or it could be a long day for the Horns.
I think this is a 50/50 game so I am gonna take the points.

My bigger play is on the UNDER 132.

Good Luck fellas

I watched LSU beat Duke and had about 5 heart attacks. A 10-second call in the backcourt. Several turnovers just b/c they couldn't dribble or make a good decision on an easy pass. They can't dribble. They can't hold on to the ball.

Man, I made a comment that LSU wishes they could have Jackie Manuel at their point guard. Thats how bad it was. I love Manuel but the guy dribbles it off his face half the time and off his foot the other half. My 2 year old niece can dribble better.

I made the decision I put the house in the keys on Texas, and under 132.5. I am a horn fan for a day, but I already don't like it I puked 3 times when I looked on my wall and saw Jason White getting sacked in LSU's National Championship win. Just get this game over already, I hate going against my team. I am going to a crawfish boil with frieken burnt orange on, Go horns, just cover baby

lsu is a good basketball team. they've been profitable for me all season, though not today.

but why are they a 'team of destiny'?

they blew out iona in the first round.
should have never even needed a last-second shot to beat a+m.
and then scrapped out some ugly wins against duke and texas.

can't they just be a good basketball team doing what they're supposed to do? everything has to be so dramatic all the time with teams being destined. why?

G man if you had LSU today they covered for you. They won 2 games they shouldn't have that is a team of destiny. They are the NC State of today. LSU is the real deal they are playing with m ore heart than anyone and are winning, texas is the new leader of the fraud squad.

Worst shooting team I've seen in recent memory do so well. 3/18 from three??? C'mon atleast go 30%. Hell I can shoot better than Temple. I'de love LSU to win it all as I have money invested in them, but they need someone besides Mitchell to hit outside shots!

This team wins ugly and they play a lot of close games because of there laid back approach. They dont push the ball up court after a miss and they walk the ball up court after a made shot. They dont put teams away because they dont shoot the ball well at all thus they play a lot of close games. if they could shoot half azz from the outside they would be a helluva team to defend.
