I think yall should take a serious look at this game. As you may know, I've been documenting this team's season here when I've had the time and access. I'm 6-2 in my WSU calls.
Tonight, the Shockers home is going to be closed for the next 18 months for some high dollar renovations. There should be a sellout crowd for seeing off the building and thanking the seniors for a very good home season.
The Shocks have one of the greatest home/road differentials in the country. Check the numbers. Team has now won 3 of the last 40 conference road games. The fact that they've taken N. Iowa and Evansville to overtime and lost to Creighton by 2 on the road in recent weeks indicates how much better this team is getting.
The last game these two played is also an indication of the direction N. Iowa has been going. They were beat until Wichita turned in another one their patented road fade performances.
Their road record isn't much better than WSU's. They've lost both games to Evansville in the last couple of weeks.
The Shocks should give a very spirited performance this evening.
Taking WSU -6.5
Also....Like Drake with the 13.5. Been playing very well of late. Winners of their last five. Took Creighton to overtime in the first matchup a couple of weeks ago.
S Ill/Bradley....tough line, looks about right. Think there's a better chance of a blowout than a close one. Lean on S. Ill, but staying away.
ISU....12.5 isn't a huge number versus Evansville at home. UE's win over WSU at home on Saturday night might actually make them complacent....not to mention tired.
Indy St. +9 Indy playing much better since Block's return. Played well enough to win against S Ill. on Saturday. Waltman is a very good coach and hasn't given up. Gave a great tribute to the team after the game on Saturday. I expect them to play hard and hang around in this one. Small play here.
