Saw some bobcat trapper vids through your link. What the hell do people do with bobcat pelts? Don't recall seeing any bobcat coats.
I don't know much at all about the fur industry, but I do know that a bobcat pelt brings the most money around here. The ones out west have more spots which are desirable in cats than ours have.
A good coyote pelt will get 20 max here. A good bobcat pelt will get 70 or more. The ones from out west get double to triple that.

I thought the red neck deer skinning was interesting, now after the fool ripped the deers head off at the neck he probably had to do it the old fashioned way--with a sharp knife anyway.
Have heard of rabbit coats but not bobcat. Seems like a hard way to make $70. Not sure how many bobcats there are out there.
tons of them; very common to abundant in most of their range just not very visible to people. When I was a kid we didn't have any to speak of. Now, they are extremely common.
When I was young in the 70s, we had very few/no turkeys, deer, bobcats, and coyotes. Now, all of these are either very common to abundant. The only animal that I know of that has declined in population since I was a child are quail, and that's directly related to how 'clean' most farms are now ie loss of habitat even in the rural areas.
