WAGERWEB.COM POSTS NFL FOOTBALL BETTING ODDS ON: ?WILL GREEN BAY PACKERS LEGENDARY QB BRETT FAVRE RETIRE OR PLAY FOR ANOTHER NFL TEAM BY OPENING DAY 2006??

(Zapote, Costa Rica, 06 January 2006) Is this the end for one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play in the National Football League? The answer might come quickly and then again we are talking about Brett Favre here so you just never know. No matter what happens, Favre will go down as one of the best to ever play his position and is a sure-fire first-ballot Hall of Famer. This season was one of Favre?s worst as a pro as the Packers went 4-12 and Favre looked more like a rookie at time than a three- time NFL MVP. Favre also had the added stress of losing his boyhood home as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

The firing of Packers head coach Mike Sherman further clouds the issue of whether Favre will come back or not. Many can?t imagine Favre playing anywhere else but Green Bay, but it could happen with Sherman gone and the Pack looking towards the future. Many think that the decision will ultimately be left up to Favre, but it can?t be ignored that the Packers are most likely going to have to go into rebuilding mode and those plans might not include Favre.

"Brett Favre is simply an amazing athlete and competitor," said Wagerweb.com (http://www.wagerweb.com/) CEO Dave Johnson. "Watching him play in the NFL has been an absolute treat and the day will come soon when Favre will hang it up, but many people including myself believes he has at least a year or to left in him. We have him returning as a -2 to 1 favorite. I think the new head coach decision will be the deciding factor on whether he stays or goes.?
